Bobby Thomas poor there for that goal. Weak header then failed to close down Gregory

Feel sorry for Barnsley … albeit they are a woeful YoYo outfit… who move between Championship and L1 every other year.
Great goal from Windass - glad Sheff Weds are out of L1 and not in the mix for promotion next season.

Never a red card. Yellow yes. Nailed on pen for Barnsley that. I'm absolutely gobsmacked var didn't give it. He kicked the man who got to the ball before him. Id like to hear howard Webb explain his way out of that one.

Didn’t watch it but glad Wednesday took it if only to spoil Bobby Thomas’ day.

Out-of-contract and maybe still wants a move closer to the south west? Thought he looked sharp today too and a lot leaner than when we saw him. Good player with unfulfilled potential.

A very proud father tonight.
Windass the Wembley winner. Fifteen years ago it was dad Dean, sending Hull City into the Premier League. This time it was son Josh, reinstating Sheffield Wednesday to the Championship.
With a diving header seconds before the League One play-off final was to go to penalties, no less. Ten-man Barnsley would have fancied their chances in that; goalkeeper Harry Isted had been sensational throughout.
“It's absolutely incredible – I said this morning he'll get the winner,” declared Windass senior, whose 201st Hull goal was the volley that sent the Tigers into the top flight for the first time.

Bright , dangerous and gave 110%. At the game today and the tykes fans seem to be very confident he is joining them. If Duff keeps that team as it is they will be favourites for straight promotion.

If they want to keep him I am sure he would prefer to stay there. I was hoping they would go up, that would have given us a better chance of him being a free agent.

Bigger salary than we could offer, most likely guaranteed push for promotion and now settled at the club. But he isn't like most footballers....if he want's to move back closer to home then we're in with a chance....would be a great addition to the squad and already knows our set up!

For a start they will be losing their 4 loan signings and that will disrupt the team. i dont think that he has started a game since October and is living away from home in lodgings just for a 10 minute run out on match day. Like most Duff teams , Barnsley are an effective and a physically imposing team and it is difficult to see how a player like Luke- who is skillful as opposed to physical - will fit in for 90 minute games. They don't seem to have wingers or play the ball out from the back but favour hard running midfield players and big centre forwards. Can JB sell him the dream? Does he want to or does LT seem a bit like Scott Sinclair ? Time will tell

Time will tell They are definitely physically imposing upfront and at the back but they have a few smaller ball players in midfield....agree that he isn't really a Barnsley type player and would only be a squad player for them if he stayed....that is dependent on whether Duff even wants him! If he's happy to take a pay drop I think it would be an appealing move for him and could see him used in quite a few formations that JB uses! As you say time will tell and JB might not want him!

Didn't think of that....He would of been on a championship wage and could be offered reduced terms....could make us financially attractive too....could be promising

Didn't think of that....He would have been on a championship wage and could be offered reduced terms....could make us financially attractive too....could be promising We’re all assuming they’re going to offer him a new contract. Will they want to strengthen and be happy to let him go to free up space and wages? I think it will all depend on them offering him a new contract. If they do I think he will stay as he seems to have settled in well since his return from us. If not, I can see us being his second choice, but then do we know how badly JB wants him back?
