Stoke City have announced the departure of seven members of the first team squad, paving the way for a concerted recruitment drive ahead of next season. Sam Clucas, Demeaco Duhaney, Aden Flint, Morgan Fox, Phil Jagielka, Tashan Oakley-Boothe and Nick Powell will leave the Club this summer having not been offered new contracts. Will no doubt get shot down for this but Flint could be a great signing for us, but we can't afford him. A tall leader of the back four who wins headers. His departure paves the way for Taylor, so that look a no go. Always rated Clucas and Powell as well but age and wages will probably be against them signing for us. I will load the gun! No thanks ! Never want to see another of their ex washed up players here again…….. Mark Little, David Clarkson anyone ? |

Anyone take Johnny Williams on a free? No a walking injury and past it, non league beckons for him. Jonny Williams was class this season, scoring 10 goals and being amongst the top chance creators in L2. He has proved his fitness over the past couple of seasons playing 39 times and 45 times. Still only 29, he's a versatile player with good creative qualities, higher level and international experience and supposedly a good character. I've always liked him as a player, so I'd take him if his wage demands were reasonable and within budget. |

No great rush I suppose When do contracts generally expire, June 1st? feels a bit odd given that most players dont sign til August/September. we all say "he's on a one year contract", so is that 10 months or do they always run for a full year meaning that the budget is used until that point? |

I’ll bow to your knowledge, just the amount of sick notes we’ve had over the years he scares me from His past but from what you say it looks like he is over them. |

Always liked Omar Beckles. Very powerful centre half who can carry the ball. Never quite happened for him higher up the leagues. |

Lawrence Vigouroux and Paul Smyth unsurprisingly offered new contracts. Would take both here. A centre half I've thought had a bit of potential at Orient is 6ft 5in 24-year-old Dan Happe, who is also out-of-contract and been offered a new deal. Been unlucky with injuries, but a good player. |

Blackpool released a huge list…. Main attractions for me Kevin Stewart (DM), Luke Garbutt (LB, former Everton youngster 👀), Keshi Anderson (Winger), Jordan Thorniley (CB) - once I’ve been keen for us to go for, for a while, two goalkeepers in Stuart Moore & Chris Maxwell!
