Wouldnt be surprised if Keeper, No9 and young CB all end up being loans. So unknowns. Elliots and Taylors rather than Quansahs and Balcombes hopefully!

People are living in cloud cuckoo land if they think we are going from a team that finished 17th and lost 21 games with only the likes of Burton, Morecambe, Accrington and Forest Green conceding more than us, to a playoff team with what we we have added so far. Maybe with 3 or 4 more top quality additions for the level, but not as things stand. Tend to agree. We've lost loanees B. Thomas, Gibson, Quansah, Bogarde and Coburn, as well as Coutts and H. Anderson. Will Wilson and Friend be better than B. Thomas and Gibson? Will L. Thomas be an improvement on H. Anderson? Happy with the business so far and if we can sign at least 4 more quality players in the right positions we might have a chance of challenging for the top 6, but not as things stand.

Also, hopefully, we will see a general improvement in some of our younger players from last year like Gordon and Hoole. Now they've had a years experience at this level. As well as, hopefully, getting an improvement from the likes of Sinclair, Ward, McCormick. Who will have had a full pre season and be more acquainted with the tactical ideas etc.

Looks like Luke Leahy is off to Wycombe for £100-120k. Strange destination

With Swansea set to sign Jerry Yates I wonder if we may go back in for Kyle Joseph??? Sounds like a few league 1 clubs are interested as well as Oxford. Some of their fans who want him back believe that them today signing Mark Harris means he won't be heading back to them. Thought this too about Joseph. But sounds like he might be going to Blackpool as part of the deal for Yates.

Assuming Wilson's got another full season in his legs he seems a far better signing than B Thomas/Quansah, not really sure Friend is a replacement for Gibson or just back up for the left side of the defence. Given how little Anderson played last season I sense any player with no similar fitness issues will be an improvement, Thomas could be a class act he develops his game under JB Assuming we don't sell Collins then Brown could be a big asset, as will Grant should he ever return to full fitness. Given that's looking unlikely Rossiter is going to return to fitness any time soon we clearly need a replacement for Bogarde, along with competition for Belshaw, another CB as a replacement for Coburn.

After his display with his Shrewsbury friends when doing auditions for Casualty last season at the Mem I’m sure he’ll fit in well at Wycombe.
UTG!

I am surprised we have not made some more signings since George Friend joined us

If we discount Friend - as he's been with us since the start of pre season - what was the date of our last signing?
Seems a long time.

All gone rather quiet, hasn’t it? probably nothing, but fair few people on twitter getting very excited and giddy about the prospect of Connor Taylor coming back. Not sure what they know.

I dont believe all the reply-immediately kings of twitter, they think they can gain some likes with a "sign XXXX" or a gif about watering the league if they do it first! Would be the last piece in a very good defence I think. Maybe some leftback cover. I work with someone (Stoke ST holder) who golfs with CT's agent (and occassionally CT) and havent heard any rumours since "he's off to Scotland"!

Gasattack the date of the signing before George Friend signed was Jevani Brown on June 26 Thanks. 17 days then. Must admit, I was hoping for a bit more action after a decent start to the window. If we don't manage to sign anyone before they fly out to Portugal it will probably be over a month without any additions; other than Friend who started pre season with us anyway.

Probably not a lot, but you never know. Seen something about a 19 year old loan signing from Man City as well but that's also most likely made up Twitter chat
