Are people expecting us to sign a left back? Didn’t JB once say that Josh Grant felt his best position was left back and was regularly playing there before his injury troubles? If so him, Flash and maybe even Jones will be battling for the number three shirt. For me a big mobile number nine, a keeper to complete with Belly and a Connor Taylor style CB are priorities |

Are people expecting us to sign a left back? Only if the story that Ryan Jones is going out on loan again is true and our other left back / midfielder Josh Grant is looking like he won’t be able to withstand the rigours of a full L1 season. |

Grant's already out injured with a "niggle" after just half a game at Melksham, I'd be surprised if he figured in half our games this season. |

Are people expecting us to sign a left back? Not for me. Already have Gordon, Friend & Grant for that position as well as Gibbons who did a decent enough job there a few times last season. CB and CDM much more pressing IMO. |

I know its Twitter, and I know its unreliable... but... EFL transfer rumours is reporting we're interested in Tayo Edun What page mate?? Can't see anything on there. Left-back we seemed pretty well stocked unless Joey sees Friend more at centre-back. Edun can play down the left but also in midfield so he would offer versatility. If we were to get him then I think Joey would use him in the Coutts role. |

We all know that Grant is’nt going to play many matches this season so another left-sided central/left back is required.

Some very impressive signings from Derby / Pompey this evening. I think top 6 is a realistic aim for us this year but my god are the ‘big boys’ throwing the cash around!

Apparently got him for no fee just a sell on clause included. Although, does seem like city are close to signing Jason Knight from them so probably to help soften that deal. |

With Swansea set to sign Jerry Yates I wonder if we may go back in for Kyle Joseph???
Sounds like a few league 1 clubs are interested as well as Oxford.
Some of their fans who want him back believe that them today signing Mark Harris means he won't be heading back to them.

I just don't see us Top Six - Certainly not at this stage in pre season... maybe top ten with some luck . Some early good signings but I wonder if we have lost our momentum now missing out on a few. Portsmouth and Derby clearly trying to buy promotion and there have been some more than decent additions at Charlton / Oxford / Bolton already. A lot of work still to be done - Centre Forward / Keeper / Midfielder or two and a CB - All of which need to be Championship standard or top end of L1 - Cant quite see it happening to be honest. Need these players in the building soon. |

People are living in cloud cuckoo land if they think we are going from a team that finished 17th and lost 21 games with only the likes of Burton, Morecambe, Accrington and Forest Green conceding more than us, to a playoff team with what we we have added so far. Maybe with 3 or 4 more top quality additions for the level, but not as things stand.

Yeah its gone a bit quiet now there's not even any rumours. Still plenty to do before we become competitive at the right end of the table
