Absolute sh** show from top to bottom. They would have seen the backlash and still went ahead with it. Not my football club. Only backlash I’ve seen is on here , nothing much elsewhere. Still , can’t please everybody. |

I’m currently at work. Kinda hoping that when I get home my WiFi goes down and my data runs out.
In the unlikely event the above doesn’t happen, this is my take.
When I was in my teens I went off the rails (slightly), drugs, white lightening etc. I was banned from driving and lost my job, I was arrested for scrapping in town and was a bit of a count to my parents, friends and girlfriends of the time. Guess what, people gave me chances, I re-educated, got a degree and better career prospects. I now have a family, job and responsibilities (boring I know). Everybody deserves a chance, if anybody on here says they haven’t made a mistake in life, believe me you will at some point. It’s important we don’t alienate people for mistakes. Yes even assault. People can and do change.
Anyway I know that won’t be popular opinion but there you go, it’s mine.

Top signing that , welcome to the club. Like I’ve said previously, he’s not here to be our friends and he probably couldn’t give a toss if you don’t like him , it’s his job. Looking forward to seeing him play and all the amateur dramatics on here 😂😂

go and support the 82ers or Plymouth then if thats how you feel, JB was found not guilty and Jevani will probably/hopefully also be found not guilty, Bath City will be getting my money again this season. I think most posters who have expressed their reservations have by and large been respected by those with a different opinion. Those who accuse fellow posters of being morally corrupt and the like or compare Brown’s signing with us giving a contract to a rapist are bound to get a more prickly response. I wouldn't say Bristol City has a brilliant stadium, though just above average for the Championship. The Atyeo stand is old and surely looks its age. I sure hope Rovers' eventual new stadium will be a substantial improvement the Ashton one!

You say Rotherham and Exeter are doing the right thing by waiting to hear the facts but seconds earlier referred to him as a man who hits women. Have you seen evidence that the rest of us haven’t showing that he has hit a woman? Or are you jumping to your own conclusions? As I’ve said before I’ll be reserving judgement until I hear/see what evidence comes out. be interested to read his reply Sorry I have jumped to a conclusion a bit, I shouldn’t assume but what else can he be guilty of that night, swearing? Is that a crime? Fraud? A mugging is in the same family as attacking a woman. The best way not to jump to conclusions in any situation in life is to hear the evidence, see the facts, this could be buying a house, hearing a friend out who is so called spoke about you behind your back, in our case it involves the CPS so I am inclined to listen to see what the judge and jury think. Latest CPS prosecution rates are 81% in terms of a conviction, let’s wait and see if he’s in the 19% like Mr Barton. |

I stopped when Barton took over. Actually, that's not true. I stopped when someone at the club thought domestic violence was a victimless crime. That was the final straw for me personally. I had thought that things may go back to some normality when Barton finally leaves but this signing, and that aforementioned statement has made me wonder if there is a bigger, more endemic issue at the club I once loved, lived and breathed. |

Let’s just hope he doesn’t come with attitude and baggage, I for one will await the courts verdict before I make my own
One thing is for sure, we will have some attacking options this season, never a dull moment with our JB in charge…..

Maybe the fact we offered the contract early meant we got him rather than Exeter or Rotherham stance of waiting in the wings |
