And your point is? Is that too late in life to turn things around? What is the cut off point in your moral conduct code? When your a teenager you can make mistakes. When you're 28 you know better. Sad reality is if you're a family looking to take your kid to the football for the first time and you look at City with their brilliant stadium and a Bristolian owner who employs hundreds locally, then compare that to us with our dump of a stadium, our incredibly questionable manager and now this new striker (footballs and women seem to be his forte) there is only one choice. It's so short-sighted, but is it any wonder a banker from a Jordanian family who employs a management team from Liverpool and Brighton etc. just doesn't understand what it means to be a Bristol Rovers fan? It's a terrible, terrible signing and one I can only hope hastens the sacking of our manager. Nothing exciting happening on the 82ers forum today then ! ? Still obsessed with The Gas though 😉! |

I stopped when Barton took over. Actually, that's not true. I stopped when someone at the club thought domestic violence was a victimless crime. That was the final straw for me personally. I had thought that things may go back to some normality when Barton finally leaves but this signing, and that aforementioned statement has made me wonder if there is a bigger, more endemic issue at the club I once loved, lived and breathed. so the moral line of redemption is flexible to a individual? Yes. In and of itself this signing as an individual would probably have had me in the same camp as 81. Worried and uncomfortable but possibly giving him a chance and waiting for the outcome of the assault he hasn't confessed to and seeking more information on the one he has. However, taken as a whole there are other mitigating factors. Barton, both his very long history of not leaning any lessons. His outstanding court case on joining us and his "problems" after joining us. Adding the "victimless crime" horseshit from the club and, yeah, here I am. I have grave concens about Rovers that have built from all of the above. I'm sure you and others would like to pick holes in all of these things individually but for me they represent a worrying slide as a whole. |

Absolute sh** show from top to bottom. They would have seen the backlash and still went ahead with it. Not my football club. I'm sorry I don't agree. There's no way you can run a football club or any other business by changing your mind on recruitment, just because some people on a forum don't like it. If he's found guilty, then the club will have to decide whether it's serious enough to instigate disciplinary action against him. If found innocent we've potentially picked up a very handy forward for next to no money. We as fans really should let the club manage themselves and stop getting on our moral high horse every time something doesn't match our own view on life. |

Very undecided on this one, can’t help feel we should’ve waited until his trial next week and the full story gets told before making anything official.
Saying that he made a stupid, drunken mistake which I’m sure he regrets deeply. Players like Luke McCormick, Marcus Alonso and Lee Hughes literally killed people whilst under the influence and still went on to have careers in football.

The lad is an exciting player Let’s just hope he doesn’t come with attitude and baggage, I for one will await the courts verdict before I make my own One thing is for sure, we will have some attacking options this season, never a dull moment with our JB in charge….. UTG He definitely has attitude and baggage, he can also be a very good player. He can also be a very frustrating one as well and that is one of the reasons he is in League 1. |
