Some within the Exeter ranks believe that the board there was too soft and should have sacked him for gross misconduct once the evidence was revealed and Jevani pleaded guilty to one of the offences. They could have saved themselves a few months wages just like we did when we sacked David Pipe. As we should have done with Rollin Menayese , do you think? I think the standards are now in place at Rovers despite Wael's statement after Barton was charged with assaulting his wife.

Exeter took the very brave (and right) decision to suspend him even though he was a key player and might have made a significant difference to their season. It's a pretty stark contrast to our club's behaviour Exeter didn't suspend him. He trained with them and was paid but they chose not to play him until the court case was held and he could focus back on football again. They had to pay him until 1st July or he could sue them for unfair dismissal. They then did not offer him a new contract so effectively left him unemployed even though the court case has not yet been heard. They admitted that they were then intending to talk to him again as the offence seemed so out of character - in the words of their manager. You are obviously trying to show that this gives them the moral high ground but Rovers are adopting the same stance.

Pipe admitted: “I did something out of character and very silly and I held my hands up. “I remember sitting in my house for three days when the person in question was on a life-support machine and I could not tell you what I was thinking. “I put myself in a position where someone else’s life was at risk because of my actions. But I don’t want this to be portrayed as, ‘Oh, it was hard for me’ because it wasn’t me that something was done to, it was the person in question.” By the time he was sent down, aged 26, Pipe had won one Wales cap and played for Coventry, Notts County and Bristol Rovers — who had just released him.

Nothing is more important to me than watching my team. It's what true supporters do. Then again I have been doing so for 59 years, so it's in my blood. I suppose we are all different. There is no way that I would watch any other team.Whilst Bristol Rovers exist and I am able to do so. I will be there. I would assume your family for example would be more important surely? I have over 35 years of Rovers in my blood too. Its not something done lightly or due to some kind of hissy fit. It saddens me greatly. Does p1ss me off when people quote how many years they have been following Rovers for to prove their level of commitment in terms of attending. We all have a different cost of living which may dictate our leisure time spend. We also may have other priorities. I would never think less of another Rovers fan for not attending whether it be morally, financially or time dictated. Hugo you are free to do whatever you want, when you want, and for whatever reason. Fack everybody else, you don't ram your opinions down peoples throats like some and go about your business quietly. The sooner people accept we all have differing opinions the better. It may render this place redundant though!

Sad reality is if you're a family looking to take your kid to the football for the first time and you look at City with their brilliant stadium and a Bristolian owner who employs hundreds locally, then compare that to us with our dump of a stadium, our incredibly questionable manager and now this new striker (footballs and women seem to be his forte) there is only one choice. It's so short-sighted, but is it any wonder a banker from a Jordanian family who employs a management team from Liverpool and Brighton etc. just doesn't understand what it means to be a Bristol Rovers fan? It's a terrible, terrible signing and one I can only hope hastens the sacking of our manager.

Can we remember the club have not signed Brown yet as far we know. Pressuring the likes of Adam or HGT to come out against it is really odd until this becomes clearer. And still then its not really in their remit. On twitter it just seems to be another excuse for those that dislike Caz and Lucy to pile on. Says more about them I would say, This really annoys me, obviously HGT have no influence in who the club signs, they are doing a great job with the things which are within their remit - these idiots should leave them alone.

Rollin was an employee and the club had to make a decision re his employment, employment law also stipulates that outside offence is not a sacking one. We have a choice on Brown to employ him, Rollin was an employee. The two clubs are waiting to hear what his guilty admission is in court, how do you know he never threatened death, rape, etc on text message? None of us know the case, why not wait to hear it? None of us knew what Mendy did until the witness took the stand and the CPS presented their evidence. None of us knew that Adam Johnson had sent text messages to the victim until we heard the CPS case. Philip Schofield lied to his employers, Brown could well be for all we know, let’s see the evidence and hear the case like Rotherham and Exeter. Surely any potential employee would do due diligence and ask to see all the court evidence, not just take a chance on Brown's version of the events being correct? We probably couldn't have better experts in this field than JB and his legal advisors!

Bath City will be getting my money again this season. I hope you enjoy it. Once a Gashead always a Gashead is clearly not the norm in your household then? We're all individuals, and make our choices accordingly - Hugo was very active within the Fans Forum Club, he's decided that Rovers is not currently right for him, I don't think that merits the "I'm a better fan than you attitude".

And we’ve just had the best crowds for years and will probably have record breaking season tickets this yr . As for the signing I’ll judge him on what he delivers on the pitch , if he’s free to walk the streets he’s free to play football. I still can think he’s an absolute twat / tosser but there’s loads of footballers who aren’t angels . They’re pretty much representative of the society we live in . Good, bad & ugly.

Maybe the player's solicitor has shared information regarding the evidence? We'll only really know of 7th July.

Excellent signing. A front three of Brown, Thomas and Collins* is going to cause a lot of teams problems next season.
* If he stays.

And some on their forum believe they should have kept him and supported him through this, and that they have lost a damn good player. I’m on the fence on this signing, but it does get me when people go selective on their quotes.
