When was it “your club”? When did you last get a say in what happens on the pitch? I was generally talking about being a family club of yester year but that has long gone never to return So remind me when that was. Was it when the tote end were kicking ten bails out of visiting fans every other week? Was it when we had awful excrement smelling facilities at Twerton that were akin to a communist prison? Was it when our fans went all Billy big nuts and started punching players through the nets at Braintree? Was it when….. I could go on and on but all I have seen at the Mem in recent years is an increase in little belters getting off their tits on coke and filming each other being twats. I don’t buy into this “used to be a family club” sh**e. Simply because I don’t remember it.

We’re certainly not helping in attracting back all the fans we’ve lost since employing Barton, are we.

Lazy article that. It states that the signing has drawn direct criticism from Her Game Too, and then links the statement from HGT that says no comment will be made! Talk about misquoting

Well, I know 8 that no longer go, and that’s just me, so suspect there are many.

All clubs have had scumbag fans at one time or other but I don't think the Dunfords would have employed Barton, signed Brown or suggested there are no victims of domestic violence.
Maybe I'm wrong and we've always been like this and I'm misremembering.

Well if we can keep Collins then a forward line of him and the two new signings would probably give us one of the most potent strike forces in the division. I just hope Collins stays.

Especially when we played a last game of the season promotion clincher! Yeah, the one and only Barton game I've been to and only because my mate bought the tickets so far in advance thinking it would be a dead game. He spent weeks badgering me to go with him. Last season is the first year I can recall ever missing every single home game in all my years watching Rovers.

These days everyone knows the ins and outs of everything, mainly due to social media but also access to online records.

That's why I doubt many people have actually stayed away from the club because of Barton if even I've been once!

I didn't used to take much interest in the club outside of 3 to 4.45 once a week. The Internet has ruined football nearly as much as money has.

My point was many have said they have stayed away, but intriguing how a shot at promotion and some find a reason/excuse to return. Principles are often set aside nowadays for a big occasion. But everyone to their own. 👍🏾

A quick read of the forum will prove that many people have an obsession with the club off the field. Gone are the days where most of us rock up, watch the game, then slag the ref off in the bar after. People have to blog, vlog, pod and analyse the arse end out of everything. Mainly for online likes, follows and general attention. When the football is boring or there is not much to report the board, shareholders etc get analysed. Not saying that’s what is happening here as it has been an interesting debate.
