Ok early for these questions I know but maybe a welcome distraction for a few from a certain other thread. I am taking my two kids to Pompey away first game. Can anybody with past experience of Fratton Park please advise: - I am driving so best place to park? - When do we expect tickets to go live? - How many do they usually give us? Cant be arsed to look back at records tbh. Thanks all. I'm taking the boy down and just booked the train for £33 return for us both which is cheaper than driving if thats better for you? Temple meads direct to fratton Station which is a 10 - 15 walk to the ground. Was thinking about doing the same, but the fear is strike action, it’s the sort of date they’d like to strike to cause havoc! |

I know the area pretty well and live 20 minutes from the ground. We park outside the Artillery Arms, which is a pretty friendly older geezers pub, and it's ten minutes walk to the away end That’s it agreed then. I will get to yours for around mid-day, after a two hour drive the kids will want lunch. Eldest likes spat bol, youngest toasties. Have some beer on ice and make sure the driveway is clear. Driveway? I think not! Otherwise entirety reasonable requests and I will certainly be in touch again soon, probably 🙄 |

I’m getting £63.90 frome and the boy. |

i have been to Portsmouth on the last few occasions and its quite easy to park in the streets provided you don't leave it too late. I am curious to know how you guys are so confident of getting tickets bearing in mind that the numbers are restricted and last year we took double the allocation that we have for this season . The fact that it is the first match of the season would normally increase numbers. Just saying as you dont want to get the youngsters all excited just to find that you cant deliver a promise

A workmate is a big Pompey Fan used to live 10 minutes from the ground, he says their opening day record isn’t too great haven’t checked the stats but I reckon we might get a point 🤞
