Ok early for these questions I know but maybe a welcome distraction for a few from a certain other thread.
I am taking my two kids to Pompey away first game. Can anybody with past experience of Fratton Park please advise:
- I am driving so best place to park? - When do we expect tickets to go live? - How many do they usually give us? Cant be arsed to look back at records tbh.
Thanks all.

Not sure 100% but think they have an away end around 2500-3000ish if needed.

Will look at a coach this time though as wanna have a few

Temple meads direct to fratton Station which is a 10 - 15 walk to the ground.

I know the area pretty well and live 20 minutes from the ground. We park outside the Artillery Arms, which is a pretty friendly older geezers pub, and it's ten minutes walk to the away end

The other thing worth remembering is that whenever we've been to Pompey, seat numbers mean nothing so late arrivals have to sit wherever they can as it's a free for all

I always say I’ll never return, but closer than a home game for me so I can’t help myself. Best I’ve seen is the midweek 1-1 with the 2nd JCH pen sent into orbit.

Now that is a game we were comfortably the better side and deserved 3 points.

Looking forward to it, gave it a miss last season and haven’t been since we lost 3-1 there a few years back.
Can anyone tell me the pub situation? Can I enter any of the pubs near the ground without some Pompey meathead trying to cave my head in?

Last year we were allocated the Good Companion which was a 10 minute walk to the ground and had plenty of street parking nearby, just don't park on the kerbs you will get a ticket. I have been to other pubs that were friendly but there are a couple to swerve but can't remember the names of them.

I will get to yours for around mid-day, after a two hour drive the kids will want lunch. Eldest likes spat bol, youngest toasties. Have some beer on ice and make sure the driveway is clear.
