The final of the European Under 21 championship will be shown live on Channel 4 this afternoon. For those who have been watching the championship on the useless UEFA App will have been impressed with the performances England have had up until now. Obviously Spain will be a huge challenge but I can see us winning this one. Unbeaten and no goals conceded so far

Obviously Spain will be a huge challenge but I can see us winning this one. Unbeaten and no goals conceded so far Interesting fact, last time the U21s got to the final of this competition back in 2009 they lost 4-0 to Germany. That Germany squad had 6 players, Manuel Neuer, Matts Hummels, Jerome Boateng, Benedikt Howeedes, Sami Khedira and Mezut Ozil that went on to win The World Cup in 2014. England have some top players. Levi Colwill is superb, Emile Smith-Rowe, Morgan Gibbs-White and Cole Palmer are top prospects too. We're starting to win things now at the younger age groups, hopefully it's a sign that a major tournament for the seniors is not far away.

1-0 Enngland - The Man City midfielder Palmer looks to curl the free-kick and it takes a big deflection off the top of the wall to wrong foot Arnau Tenas and find the bottom corner of the net.

England 1-0 Spain That goal was the prompt for an almighty melee of players and staff on the field. Tempers flaring in a big way.
It results in two yellow cards, one for each side - England's going to Levi Colwill.
There's also two red cards to members of staff, one for each side. Ashley Cole is the England coach given a red card.

Maybe a lucky goal but on chances we could have scored on several other chances. We matched the Spanish for a change and deserved the victory. Proud to be a Gashead and England supporter

It was great to see and to think Foden, Saka and Bellingham could have played if we wanted them to!

Yes, perhaps they have a buy-back clause in the agreement with Burnley. Perhaps for something like £20m or first refusal which gives Burnley a small profit and gives Trafford lots of good PL a experience and Man C can rest assured they can get him back if they want and are prepared to make the payment. UTG!

Is there an actual buy back clause? UTG!

Lots of good youngsters coming through, I was impressed with Rico Lewis last season. He's still only 18 and already started a few games for Man City. He only lost his place, when Stones started pushing into midfield, from center back. Before that, he was pushing into that space from right back.

He's literally a clone of Reece James imo, very identical attributes. Lewis Hall at Chelsea is another promising Full Back, who can also play in Midfield as well. England are producing players now who are adaptable and comfortable playing in different positions which wasn't the case before. It can only stand us in good stead.

Samuel Iling-Junior was making appearances as a 19-year-old for Juventus last season and scored his first senior goal on his first start for Juve to help his team beat Atalanta 2-0. Jamie Bynoe-Gittens was making regular appearances and got goals/assists as an 18-year-old for Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga. The future is bright.
