I believe Rovers approached Barnsley to switch our first home fixture to Oakwell but the Tykes turned it down. The stand won't be finished for then. That sounds like total BS as decisions of that nature are made by the EFL not by two clubs coming to an agreement between themselves. Although I wouldn't be surprised if the Barnsley game is postponed given that JB will be banned and I assume will want to be in the stadium for the first home game of the season.

If I told you I would have to Bury you six feet under the foundations of the new stand! You’ve obviously got concrete proof of this then.

Luton spending 10 million for one season in the Premier league waste of money better they spent it on a new stadium should have ground shared tho a few big clubs will be dreading playing at Kenilworth road intimidating little ground Luton are to move to a new stadium. 10 Mill spend when they have an extra 100 mill+ coming in, to meet prem rules not a bad deal. Think new ground is funded by sale of land they previously bought for new stadium. Should have went to MK, they could have sold out 30K every week. 3 times the revenue of the Kenny….it would be a lot less than the $10 mill refurb. Even more money in the coffers to fund their new stadium.

Think new ground is funded by sale of land they previously bought for new stadium. Luton also seem to be making sensible decisions given they are hoping to be in their new stadium for 2026/27 - the new floodlights and a lot of the new media facilities being put into Kenilworth road this summer will be able to be reused in their new stadium when the time comes. Their CEO also pointed out that the £10m spend would be far cheaper than a groundshare across even one season....

I reported on here before, that I asked TG whether the planning application was being treated as a matter of urgency by planning and he said yes. That is important, because if a planning officer designates planning permission as urgent the club can go ahead and commence contsruction work before permission is granted, that is what planning law says. I also asked whether the club was likely to breach EFL rules and TG said the club were not concerned about that at this stage. Ground has to have a minimum of 2,000 seats to avoid breach of the rules. He said that lots of work has already taken place in preperation for building in due course. It is unlikely that the the permission would not be granted, so I suppose it down to the club if they risk starting construction now. I've searched online and I can't find any references to anybody being allowed to start work without pp if it's considered urgent, regardless there's still the same issues, always the chance the planning committee will eventually reject the plans. Either the club are going to take a £m gamble and build the stand w/o or just wait for pp, given Luton's announcement this week I assume they'll now be increasing pressure on Rovers to clarify our position.

Don't lose any sleep over this TG got it sorted him and Marvelous Marvin are on the same page. We are supporting St Paul's carnival in two years time so its hunky dory. About time Rovers recruitment team had a look at some talented St Paul's footballers.

Fair play and all but that was a bore fest, talking about salad, with passion, is not my kind of listen. Love what the CT do but if you are looking for maybe a little humour then avoid, just my opinion

Yet more made up rubbish he can’t and won’t back up, let’s await tomorrows strawberry he brings us, that he’s dreamt up overnight. Grant Ward to Manchester City is my guess.
