Nigeria all over us 😟 Watching on the iPad here in France and annoyingly the commentary is about 2 secs in front of the pictures 😂 It's the same on the BBC1 coverage! Commentary saying 'she hits the bar' and the player hasn't taken the shot yet! Very annoying, hopefully synchronise at half time |

Can’t drop the level even 10% in knock out footie. They pressed well, winning every physical battle, but as the last 5mins showed when we get it down and play our game we can go round them with ease.
Just can’t get James or Walsh into the game, but if we manage to get one the game will open right up and we’ll be sound.
RE: The pen, for me it looked even more of one on review! Clear shove in the back on Daly that started with grappling whilst making her run, weirdly enough 5mins later Jess Carter received a simple hand on the shoulder down by our corner flag yet the ref deemed it a foul and free kick? Go figure.
We have a few gears to go through yeh. ‘Mon Englanddddd

How about quality goalkeeping, all part of a shoot out, if a penalty hits the back of the net does that include quality goalkeeping? Football basics right there. Of course, especially when the US keeper scored the 6th pen🤙🏻 Goalkeepers primary role is saving not scoring pens, take a look at some of that. |

Couldn’t see us winning this even before James went off on their 2nd half showing. Unfortunately we have been poor with Nigeria looking far stronger and offensively quicker and sharper than our laboured build ups
Who knows though as it only takes a second to score

Stanway aside (whose on 2/3 missed not including a retake that was initially saved) our pens were superb.
Didn’t play well but Mary in the sticks was barely called upon, backs to the wall defending & dug in hard.
Bring on the 1/4’s!

EDIT: as an aside, worrying lack of changes from the manager when it was pretty clear James should have been subbed before being red carded. Not that it excuses it of course, but poor tactics from the England coach.
