Is anyone a bit worried about the direction this is going in recently. I understand players who really are past it and at the end of their career but the age these players seem to be going over there is younger and younger and so many this year. I find it really sad and money talks at the end of the day which makes me wonder if Saudi Arabia could end up killing off the Prem in years to come.

I've no idea what the Saudi's are planning to do as unlike golf, who's going to pay money to watch Saudi teams play each other with a sprinkling of expensive Premier League players? It's not as if the top Saudi sides can enter the Champions League.

The soon to be retired & a sprinkling of ‘still got it’ making off for an obscene last pay day.
You’ll never see the Mbappe’s, Vinicius or Bellingham’s of the football world entertaining that glorified park level.

But the players are getting younger or at the peak of their careers like Mitrovic is the latest one. Ruben Neves is only 26 and has gone there. Mahrez played 30 prem games for treble winning Man City and has gone there. I understand players going for a final pay day but it seems to be more than just that now. Never say never because money talks and the more that go the more that will follow. Every tradition has to start somewhere.

The prem overinflated prices to take all the best talent for years.
Not bothered in the slightest.

Something sky will have to look at now the big boys in the Premier league want to stream the games themselves and not via the middleman.

Saudi money is everywhere now. They know the oil is running dry. Anybody in IT, construction, medical, check out the salaries on offer. If you are young, free and single it’s prob worth a two year stint.

Why would you hope for that? It would be a massive hit to our economy.

If they get enough decent players that the Asian TV Market starts waiting Saudi football, then the advertising revenue drops. Diddums.

The Premier League has been taking players in their prime from most of the rest of the world for a very long time. No one can complain when somewhere else does the same. Surely all this will be Machachkala FC all over again - hyper rich oil-oligarchs wanting a play thing, who lose interest when the investment doesn't get the return they wanted [and the reason why Premier League clubs get bought instead]. The same things were said when Machachkala bought Samuel Eto and Roberto Carlos.

To clarify it’s open to ANYBODY with skill sets they require to grow their economy independently of oil.

It won’t last you can’t just invent a football culture. Besides I wouldn’t be that bothered in money left the English game and instead we had local talents. Real hero’s to get behind who were doing it for the love of the city and the game.

I think all this Saudi money is aiding the Prems greed not hindering it. Prem clubs offloading their ageing stars to Saudi above the market price, then spending that money to buy all the talent in Europe.
I'm happy to support a team in League One and hope we never get further than the Championship.
