You obviously don't understand why has gone to a subscription service and has commented without any facts. The majority of the money he makes from it will be going to charity and he has done it because of all the crap that gets written on every tweet he sends out, it's a but tedious reading the same pathetic comments everytime. It's not just to feed people info about Rovers. But that's not relevant to his Rovers Tweets it's only relevant to the nonsense he posted about Carlson/Tate, which you now sense he did deliberately so he could revert to using subs when users responded in the manner they were always likely to do given their own reputations. I can't believe any forum user supports our manager hiding Rovers info behind a paywall when even the likes of Klopp don't do it. It's not just to do with the Carlson/Tate tweet have you never read the comments after he tweets anything. You got rhe inbreds from BS3 giving abuse as well as a few others and it's the same crap they write. I don't subscribe as I'm not bothered what he tweets as I don't let social media affect my life as the majority of stuff written on there is complete rubbish. Why are you bring so suspicious of our manager when all he is doing is protecting himself from idiots and putting the majority of the money he makes to a good cause. Really don't see the issue here it seems some want to make an issue when there isn't one.

Surprised 73 people had already read the tweet when Bristol Live uploaded a screenshot, as that probably means he's already got 100+ subscribers! It seems pretty clear this news has been kept back until he could put his account behind a paywall. Tomorrow he'll probably announce the long awaited news on what's happening with the new stand and then on Wednesday start revealing the new kit. I mean he generally only gets sh** when tweeting out sh**e about Tate, Carlson, Joe Rogan, Kennedy Jnr, Women commentators etc you know saying/doing something controversial No one is giving him sh** on his golfing tweets I user twitter quite a lot and follow JB - though not on his subscription service. The only time i seemed to read any of his tweets is after it had been picked up by a newspaper or commentator or on a forum like this and i then look for it. I dont know for sure but i bet Bristol Live highlighted his tweet within a few minutes of it being posted and in a way the fans are getting this information earlier than if it was just included in a press conferences - of which there don't seem very many at the moment. I agree in part. On its own the transfer 'news' is quite innocuous and not much that would be given out in a press conference. I dont imagine JB will be revealing the match day line up at 9am on a morning or anything, but where is the line drawn and more importantly, whom at the club is drawing it

It's not just to feed people info about Rovers. If that's true, then fair play to him. Still not sure why anyone uses Twitter though. Those who I know who do, all say it's hateful. Twitter was a good way of getting information especially about Rovers as they used it quite alot but it has turned toxic and alot of stuff on there is pure evil. I still use it but nowhere near as much as I did.

It's only recently that the official club account talked about coming off twitter because they don't like Elon musk.

Don't you remember how prickly he got about Sam Frost seeming to have inside information?

No suspicions just annoyed we've managed to employ the only league manager to charge fans to read his tweets about transfer updates etc, the fact he's still tweeting non Rovers related tweets today suggests he's not too concerned about still getting abuse. As far as giving money to charity he's simply said he'll contribute a considerable amount to charity whatever that means.

It's only recently that the official club account talked about coming off twitter because they don't like Elon musk. That can’t be right, they pay $1000 a month to be verified.

Its not a Bristol Rovers account its a personal one so its not just Rovers news, going behind a pay wall means he gets less abuse or you can pay to abuse him if thats your thing and he has said any money will go to charity.

Yes I know. I saw that. Nothing was said about not liking musk. With the start of threads and the apparently “end “ it Twitter yhey asked the fans where they should post. Answer was clear and they carried on.

So why is he still posting Tweets about Trevor Francis and EA today? It seems he's posted at least two Rovers related tweets today behind his pay wall according to Bristol Live, one about the new signings and another saying Tim Davies won't be signing for us. If fans accept this is all in order we'll soon have the club hiding everything behind a subs service.

Of course he is not because he knows that no matter what he does some people will have a go. Do you really think that JB is so hard up for cash that he is doing this to earn money for himself? The reality is that he has probably done it just to cut out the thousands and thousands of trolls who just post on every comment that he makes regardless of what he says.He probably enjoys tweeting in the way that people enjoy coming on this forum and commenting .

Answer was clear and they carried on. I thought I saw a post from the official account responding to why only remove from twitter and they mention "problematic Musk" but can't find it now either I imagined it or it was deleted. Still makes you wonder why now rather than if/when twitter ends. If they said it was to save £1k a month they pay then I think they'd have got a different poll response.
