So if not on twits you don't get a vote even if you use one or more of the others? They were sticking with all of the other platforms so if you weren't a sole twitter user for rovers info you wouldn't be impacted. |

No suspicions just annoyed we've managed to employ the only league manager to charge fans to read his tweets about transfer updates etc, the fact he's still tweeting non Rovers related tweets today suggests he's not too concerned about still getting abuse. As far as giving money to charity he's simply said he'll contribute a considerable amount to charity whatever that means. Of course he is not because he knows that no matter what he does some people will have a go. Do you really think that JB is so hard up for cash that he is doing this to earn money for himself? The reality is that he has probably done it just to cut out the thousands and thousands of trolls who just post on every comment that he makes regardless of what he says.He probably enjoys tweeting in the way that people enjoy coming on this forum and commenting . How many Rovers fans have a go at him when he tweets Rovers related news? If he wanted to hide his whole account behind a paywall I could see the logic but it seems he's just hiding the Rovers news behind it, if today's tweets are anything to go by |

Subscribe if you want to know we might be signing someone today or wait 20 minutes for the Bristol Post to tweet it for free. |

He never named the players so what are we missing out on? It was all revealed by other sources on Twitter for free. It's a nothing story and he isn't selling Rovers stories/info to make himself money he is donating the majority to charity. So much more to this than a simple money making scheme. |

I sense the frustration within every word you write Bridgwater, no matter what you try and explain there are a few who are not interested in reasoned explanations when it comes to JB, I suspect that this really isn't a big deal to the vast majority of us and as you alluded to in an earlier post the constant sniping at JB has become and is tedious to say the least. |

I get why he’s gone with the subscription account. That’s his business and it’s fine, but I thought the point of that was because he was getting abuse over his sometimes controversial opinions. He’s also the manager of our football club and it doesn’t sit right with me that he’s releasing information relating to our football club in this way. |

Like it or not Barton is a brand. He’s played at a high level and had a career that’s attracted attention. People are interested. You’d say that his influence should be reflected in his wages but let’s be realistic it’s league one.
I like the fact he’s putting controls in place and it benefits charity. If EP by-pass that then it’s a question of ethics on them, perhaps they would give a charitable donation?
How many other manager could do what JB is doing?

Any decent manager in the world in fact. The difference is that most know it's not appropriate. Ah ok, thank you. I'm on catch up and don't and never will use Twitter. Me neither, the only twitters i know are the feathered ones flying about! I now have my account back after being locked out of it for nearly 18 months. I use it sporadically and because it’s extremely handy if you want news, important news, quickly as it seems to be on the ball with reporting on current affairs, for example we hardly hear anything about Ukraine on our news channels but you can get near on hourly updates, on twitter |
