They ain’t gonna like this on OTIB. We seem to have a bit more cash lying around in the transfer market this window, and some promising signs on FM. The long awaited investors seem to be here. Everything works in cycles, even football. We’ve been on our backsides for a long time and now it does appear the wheel is starting to turn in our favour. Will wait and see but if this club does get the stadium, you will have 2 solid teams in Bristol, not one with an also-ran. We should be slightly wary as while the majority of city fans are blokes like you and me, there is a sizeable minority who always do their best to cause us problems whenever we try to move forward, and I include Steve Lansdown in this given the pointless Taylor benchwarming signing. If we get anything close to some kind of move forward, god forbid, beat them in a football match, I wonder if the arsonists will be out again or even phoning players in their homes to threaten them as per previous? Amazed as well they’re screenshotting us, I don’t think that’s happened a single time on here. Let’s hope Bristol has 2 great clubs with great grounds in a few years and we can have some good natured derbies. Let’s hope they go bust They’ve already done that once!

The statement says the club is debt free following the new investment does that mean the loan for the new stand has been paid off, the rumoured one that caused outrage among some a few weeks ago.

When we were taken over by Wael, we thought it was initially nothing better than investment bankers coming into the club...
Now apparently that's not enough. Wael appears to need extra investment.
I think we should take time and be careful to evaluate if the investment will suit the fabric of the club I already don't recognise..

Always prudent to evaluate rather than jump in, however I've seen the phrase about not recognising the club before. What is it you don't recognise? We are still Bristol Rovers playing at The Mem in front of several thousand fans. So apart from ownership what's changed?

What's the evidence of a link to them, apart from somebody called Hussain Alsaeed is a Director? It seems a bit odd to own a sweet factory and also a massive real development company, as surely they'd leave other people to run the sweet factor? I'm not sure about the sweet factory or even if it is the same person, but they definitely own this Al-Elmam International Real Estate Company and Foodco Restaurants Management, both listed with the same contact address Sharq, Gulf Road, Al-Ghunaim Building, 1st Floor, PO BOX -22116, Safat-13081, Kuwait. foodco-kw.com/aboutus.htmlwww.elmamrealestate.com/index.htmlLet's just hope they are looking to develop the FM and not the Mem then and Wael's done his background checks to make sure they are genuine football fans and not just looking to make £'s

If he's around 15 stone, that's only around £4.5m. Bad news. Better to be worth his weight in cocaine. That would be about £9M. A sum not to be sniffed at.

Brilliant news for the club and the end of a long and thorough period of due diligence.
I’ve been impressed with Mr Hussain and Mr Abdullatif AlSaeed and their visions and aims for the club.
Looking forward to working with you to help the club reach its full potential.
From a gashead point of view would be good if both gentlemen introduced themselves their career & Football backgrounds?

My view is Wael has kept our club going for the past 7 years and deserves our thanks,if we can get more investment and we move forward then fab,our family have been supporters for over 100years and relatively starved of success,it will always be "our" club however,if it's in the championship in a brand new stadium then I for one will be grateful to anyone who makes that happen.

I know someone who disliked the way BCFC82 were going, he ended up watching Keynsham instead. Fair play, but if we want to remain competitive then we have to come into the 21st century. Actually, I'd be happy with 20th century looking at what we had before.

When all they crave is mediocrity, year on year struggles & crowds in the lower thousands where it’s basically them, their mates & the dog watching on a Saturday. I work with a bloke with such a mindset, ***g oddball.

Absolute bunch of c*nts! They think they're so knowledgable, but just spout absolute garbage. 'Do we realise how much investment is needed to even be a sustainable Championship club, let alone get promoted from League 1?'.....What like Luton you mean? of the highest order. Exactly . Just because they’re losing 30 million a year to tread water in the bottom half of the championship that doesn’t mean they’re the bar other clubs should be set to. If lansdown knew what he was doing , with the amount he’s got he’d be dangerous.

'Al Elmam has been at the forefront of real estate development in Kuwait since 1995. The group has a presence in all the major real estate classes - multi storey group housing, residential townships, shopping malls, office buildings and hotels etc' Add a football stadium in Bristol to that portfolio soon. 👍
