The problem is, the more professional the club gets, the less we will all recognise it. The only way we will retain the club we all initially fell for is to remain a farce. & there are some (probably at most clubs) that hate the idea of them going on to become a well run established outfit conjuring better results, higher league finishes & more supporters. When all they crave is mediocrity, year on year struggles & crowds in the lower thousands where it’s basically them, their mates & the dog watching on a Saturday. I work with a bloke with such a mindset, ***g oddball. sorry about that

When we were taken over by Wael, we thought it was initially nothing better than investment bankers coming into the club... Now apparently that's not enough. Wael appears to need extra investment. I think we should take time and be careful to evaluate if the investment will suit the fabric of the club I already don't recognise.. It's not about you though, is it? Never said it was. Not about just you either. Or just them. It's about some who feel marginalised, maybe not here in majority, but a quiet minority. Just reserving judgment as it's not always the Kings new clothes with every announcement the club makes. Only natural to be prudent until we see something tangible.

Always prudent to evaluate rather than jump in, however I've seen the phrase about not recognising the club before. What is it you don't recognise? We are still Bristol Rovers playing at The Mem in front of several thousand fans. So apart from ownership what's changed? It's been touted on other threads to a death ! And I don't want to usurp this thread by going over it again.. I keep fingers crossed those thousands will grow and this move breeds success.....

It's about moving the club forward. A process started under Wael and hopefully continued with the new gents. Some people look back on the days when hospitality was handed out free to mates, along with guaranteed away tickets and free entry to home games, as golden days. Thankfully those have gone. UTFG 🏴☠️

I'm not sure about the sweet factory or even if it is the same person, but they definitely own this Al-Elmam International Real Estate Company and Foodco Restaurants Management, both listed with the same contact address Sharq, Gulf Road, Al-Ghunaim Building, 1st Floor, PO BOX -22116, Safat-13081, Kuwait. foodco-kw.com/aboutus.htmlwww.elmamrealestate.com/index.htmlLet's just hope they are looking to develop the FM and not the Mem then and Wael's done his background checks to make sure they are genuine football fans and not just looking to make £'s
From what I've read it seems that Wael has been very careful in selecting and has turned down a number of other potential offers over the last couple of years for various reasons. Let's hope his judgement is sound in this case.
I live in Reading and know full-well how quickly the wheels can fall off once a benevolent benefactor hands over the reins, themselves thinking they've done the best due diligence! Poor old Madjeski must be horrified with how the club's gone over the past 5 years.

So, there’s a new investor in Dwane.
I haven’t read the whole thread, but I’m not sure yet where the money is going.
That is, if he’s just bought 55% of the Dwane shares from Wael, then the money goes to Wael. For the club to get the money, they would have to create new shares, which he would buy to increase the capital base/cash.
Which has happened, do we know?

Latest Tweet from Tom Gorringe Brilliant news for the club and the end of a long and thorough period of due diligence. I’ve been impressed with Mr Hussain and Mr Abdullatif AlSaeed and their visions and aims for the club. Looking forward to working with you to help the club reach its full potential. From a gashead point of view would be good if both gentlemen introduced themselves their career & Football backgrounds? Why? They’re not applying for a job. Because it is what most new owners tend to do? Why the apparent secrecy if they've got nothing to hide?

Why? They’re not applying for a job. Because it is what most new owners tend to do? Why the apparent secrecy if they've got nothing to hide? Is it? I would say it's the complete opposite. It's the forensic fans searching for information and putting 2+2 together the majority of the time. As Keiran Maguire pointed out in the BBC interview he did earlier.

We need to know why ...Bristol Rovers Press need to probe their background

Dwane Sports have created new shares, not really sure what that means for BRFC, if the club have suddenly received a few £m in their bank account then surely they could at least put up a new temporary South/South West Stand?

I don't actually mind that their wealth has been kept under wraps. It's far better than the nonsense following Wael's takeover, and the media claims of him being a Multi Billionaire.
