He’s been our most consistent player this season , another fantastic signing by JB. Not trying to discredit anyone, a genuine question. Was it him or Jennings? Think I remember reading an article how Bogarde he’d never seen play and he was already a Rovers player I’m Not sure I didn’t know that but I’ve got no doubts that Barton brought a calibre of player to the club in signings and loans that we’ve rarely seen before. I didn’t think much of him as a person and as our manager he was decent nothing else. Hopefully we can continue to sign top players for this level such as Taylor , Anderson , Thomas and Vale now that he’s gone. That we wouldn’t was my biggest worry when I heard he’d been sacked.

Brilliant player, with so much potential, seems like a smashing fella as well. Looks a different player next to Wilson, think he deserves some credit as well. Taylor, Evans, Thomas, Hoole and Collins could potentially earn us some serious money.

Let's hope we now have a manager who will consistently get the best out of them!! Wouldn't mind seeing Connolly back at some point too tbh - although if he is playing regularly and developing in League Two (and our current back line can stay fit!!) then perhaps it is best to leave him there for the rest of this season.. No way should we not recall Beefy! Who do we have if one of our 3 CB’s gets injured? No one! Bring him back and let him develop at home! UTG As long as we play him! If he is getting regular minutes at Morecombe then I wouldn't necessarily be against him staying there this season as long as we have cover in that position ourselves. No point recalling him so he can sit on the bench and get the odd appearance here or there imo. Presumably we can recall him anyway if we have injuries?

We need to get both the academy and a scouting network running so that we have replacements targeted in the event any offers do come in.

But Hoole is a 21-year-old, 6"+ versatile defender with a bit of pace and composure who has 80-odd league appearances to his name and numerous Wales youth call-ups. I'd love to see him regularly as the right-sided CB in the back three and think he'd flourish long term. Type of signing you'd previously have seen a Brentford, Preston or the like make.

I thought JB playing him at CB last season destroyed his confidence and he never looked the same player under JB.

Hoole is good as a wingback. He can’t play as a central defender as ,despite his height he’s not strong in the air. For me, he cantseem to judge the flight of the ball very well.

Remember same being said about John Scales and Keith Curle, look at their careers. Surprised many of us that the ended as central defenders.

Already you can see his build is getting bigger and think he will make a excellent defender in a 3.

Yeah like the idea of him in a back three eventually , just not quite ready for that role at the moment. He’ll bulk out over the next yr or so then might be ready .

Who would have believed he would be a central defender at Liverpool!! Mind you the half volley in the GFA cup at Ashton was pure quality (on his debut?).

Think I remember reading an article how Bogarde he’d never seen play and he was already a Rovers player Come on, Connor has signed for the club twice, Joey being the manager on each occasion, this current squad, although a lot on here would like you to think otherwise are largely all Joeys players. The 2nd time, 100% with you. But it’s a genuine question, which were Joeys Vs Jennings’ signings? There’s no shame in it either way, Joey brought in Jennings to do this job so he could concentrate on the football.

When the likes of Vale gave thier interviews they always suggested it was JB who convinced them to sign, I can't recall one saying it was down to EJ's persuasive powers. I've no idea what role EJ played in recruiting players, as when it came to signing JCH it seems TG led the negotiations with his agent(s).

The question I’m asking is who is who’s signing, which no one can seem to answer. If Jennings scouts a player and suggests signing him, but Joey calls the player to close the deal, who’s signing is it?

That's probably between JB, Jennings and Wael mostly!
