very pleased with that! Real Intent! Fantastic. Future Captain Had some time to think about Conner Taylors (at the time of writing) potential signing. The more I think about it the more I believe this could be a massive signing that defines not just this seasons team but future teams too!. I draw the comparison with the Andy Tilson Signing. We spent 375K on him but was a loyal backbone for many years at Rovers. Various managers built teams with Andy Tilson being part of that all important "spine" that coaches & managers talk about. If the figure of 300K is true then that is a bargain for a 21 year old with his ability! Especially if you spread that over three to five seasons. Huge signing when it comes (hopefully later today). Roll on the start of the 2023/2024 season.  Took season tickets again this season & feel that is now looking a wise decision with a lower capacity and a team appearing to be set up to have a challenge for the top six places. |

WHAT A SIGNING. Welcome home Connor. I’m hoping for at least a three year deal, maybe with an option for a forth. Future Rovers captain, and room to grow with us as a club. Ready made fit for starting 11 at Pompey Saturday. £300k is a steal when you considering he is 21 & the potential sell on value is huge. CT announced in new away kit?

A really mixed bag of comments on the Stoke Forum.( they sound a decent bunch )
A lot feeling he was too way too slow and cumbersome for the championship, others saying they are disappointed to see him leave
And are amazed at how little the gas are paying for him !
All wishing him luck, saying the gas are a good fit for him and praising Barton in his management skills with young players .
Nice to hear positive comments re; JB for a change 👏🤗💙utg

There were rumours that we had put bids in last summer and also in January I think too. I wonder whether the £300k is what we bid then as well and Stoke have lowered their valuation or whether we have managed to pay less/more than we were going to previously? 🤔

Just because the medical is done doesn’t mean it’s ready to announce.
You’ve got enabling transfers to wait for, possibly outgoings as well, you’ve got to take the photos, write the statement, get the managers thoughts to go into it too. Sign the contracts. Agree a time to announce it. Then it can be announced.
What a kerfuffle.
I mean we’ve not even had Teo announced yet and he is apparently a shoe in.
