Nearly 2 weeks of the window left. Every goal jch scores from now on bumps his price up. Posh will want a new player in so perhaps if he does leave it will be over the next 7 days (?)

Thing is do the fan base really want him back?, would imagine quite a split, personally i do not believe he would add anything positive to the cocktail that JB is trying to put together here, it would be a no from me. Poll needed?

JCH has been top scorer in this league every season or close to it.
Our chance creation is high and he knows where the goal is. My only concern with him is his fitness.

JCH has been top scorer in this league every season or close to it. Our chance creation is high and he knows where the goal is. My only concern with him is his fitness. Fortunately Joey understands what is needed with JCH. "I think Clarke-Harris is a helluva striker and I’d like to have him in our team, and I nearly got him when he signed for Bristol Rovers," Barton said. "I think I would have gotten more out of him than people have got because with the greatest respect to him, he wouldn’t have the BMI and body fat he has playing for the teams he’s played for. Playing for us, we definitely would have got him trimmed down. "That’s not a smite on the people he’s worked with. I would have been on him every single day, I’d have been going home with him, making sure he was eating the right food and everything because I know with power-to-weight ratio, he could be even better than what he is and that is probably Grant McCann’s frustration with him and Darren Ferguson’s and many other managers. "It’s probably cost Jonno a move to a big club because he’s scored enough goals to make teams further up the pyramid (interested). I’ve seen him linked with Glasgow Rangers at times and there must’ve been a number of Championship clubs hovering around him, a 20-goal-a-season striker and it probably would have been the shape of him and how fat he looks in his kit that puts them off. "When you look at Aaron Collins, he’s the real deal. The kid’s a proper athlete, 12km a game, low body fat and he’s getting better. "This is what lads think, they think if they score goals people will take them but if you don’t look right in your football kit, you won’t play in the modern game, you just won’t. There are too many good athletes out there." www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/joey-bartons-bold-statement-clarke-7838027www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/joey-barton-clarke-harris-bristol-8394227

JCH was great at winning fouls and holding the ball up, it took a lot of pressure off the defence.
We have good set piece takers like Evans and Collins who can take advantage of that.
Also JCH is one of those players sure to be man marked by every opposition club which in turn creates space for the likes of Collins, Thomas, Brown, Evans etc to create and score goals.
I definitely think he'd work in that Marquis role. He doesn't chase the ball as much as Marquis but I wouldn't call him immobile either, he always seemed to hobble around when not sprinting but that's just his syle.

I'm not convinced we'll spend the money needed to bring JCH back but if we do how many of us would have taken picking a front 4 from JCH, Marquis, Thomas, Collins, Sinclair, Brown, Vale, Evans & McCormick before the season started ??

I genuinely get the feeling JCH is coming back.
Just a hunch.
Bringing Harvey Vale here and then getting Bogarde back has convinced me, that we are going to really go for it, this squad now is top 6 standard easily, with plenty of strength in depth.
The only place we haven't is up front.
Bring JCH back and its a squad capable of winning the league imo.

I think the likely scenario is, he stays at Peterborough as they probably have brought in Tshimanga has JCH's replacement and he hasn't kicked on.
I believe there is a small Chance he could come back here, but is very unlikely. I can't say financially as I have no idea what funds are available, but he'll probably wanted a bigger club

Why do Posh want rid of JCH when he could get them promoted with all these goals he will score?

Both of them.
Carroll as a direct replacement and upgrade on Lofty.
JCH to fire in 30 goals.
Job done

JCH all day.
If Carroll was any good he'd still be at Reading.

I'd rather have Andy Carroll than Loft but it has to be JCH! Can you imagine what he could do with our creative output supplying him.
