Not sure where these rumours are coming from but this would be huge. Rotation between Marquis and JCH spearheading the attack would give us the best front 4 in the league with Collins and Brown.
Goal machine at this level and transfer listed.
Wouldn’t be cheap but due to the sell on clause we have for him maybe this reduces our cost/assists the negotiation.
Barton a fan too and has publicly praised previously and clearly JCH needs a motivational/want to play for manager. His partner is also from Bristol I believe…….Get him home!!!

Isnt he in the last year of his contract? it could happen.
I’d worry about what would happen if he got upset, he’s a big pain in the backside if he’s not playing well/engaging
That said I’d have him in a heartbeat

JCH would definitely compliment our attacking options. Given our 20% sell on fee due we could potentially get him cheaper. If our new investors wanted to make a statement then JCH would be that signing. At 29 he's got to be worth upwards of 1 million. Would rather we spend big on a DCM as a marque / icing on the cake signing.

I'm not sure I would want him back. He was a great stronger for us and he's done week at Peterborough. But Barton likes to play with a high press and he's not going to be able to do that.
For the money he would cost, spent there is a striker out there more suited to our style??

This just simply isn't going to happen - Posh would want around £900,000 & JCH would be on £9k a week I would imagine.
1. Our new investors may be rich but smashing our transfer record will not happen immediately
2. JCH isn't a re-sell asset, it would be a big risk
3. He will have Championship offers on the table
It's probably got 3% chance of happening.

Probably 80% of the transfer rumors on here are make believe (then again CT proves that anything can happen!) |
