Happy with Loft and Marquis for the centre forward position, so fitness and transfers notwithstanding not fussed about signing another one. If there is any funds left in the pot I'd have to agree with those hoping for a defensively minded midfielder considering Finley's disciplinaries and Rossiter's injuries. UTG Not sure if it's got anything to do with Loft hardly featuring during pre-season, but Joey will surely realise Loft isn't good enough at this level for a side with play-off ambitions and will look to move him on at the earliest opportunity and bring in an upgrade.

Harrogate Town boss Simon Weaver claimed two or three League One clubs have seen bids rejected for star forward Luke Armstrong. 27, strong, quick & a brilliant goal record in L2. Could see us being in for him. North East born & roughly based so would need to be a good contract to come down here. Armstrong’s stats are OK, but I’ve seen him about 5 times (I live in Yorkshire) and he’s been terrible each time I’ve seen him. I wouldn’t describe him as strong or quick based on what I’ve seen. He’s a big presence but I didn’t ever see him do anything particularly productive.

I’m on about the quality of player . Lambo was probably the best player I’ve seen playing for the Gas . JCH isn’t even in my top 5 strikers . His value will go down from here on in . He was absolute quality the final couple of seasons but he struggled at first. Whereas JCH hit the ground running from the off. JCH's record of 27 goals in 49 games for us in a side that wasn't very creative and pretty dour, is right up there with are other great strikers. Yes he was good , but he’s a few yrs older now and looks well out of condition last time I saw him on tv . Just think we could do so much better if we’re shelling out north of half a million

We clearly need an additional striker or Coburn would have hardly figured last season, unless JB now sees Collins leading the line, given his reference last night to change to the style of play during pre-season. Unfortunately Hoskins never followed that up by asking how it had changed

I wouldn't be keen on JCH coming back, no resale value at 32 if he was got on a 3 yr contract. Weight issues/laziness leave him less mobile than our speedy lot up front. No doubt he can score goals but as someone mentioned earlier a younger hungrier player would make more sense.

If he was the league's top scorer last season is he really that lazy/over weight or is that just another Gaschat fact? Regardless I can't imagine any player risking being over weight with JB.

Why are Posh trying to get rid? I presume no one has come in with an offer, Why?

Why would Posh not keep him to increase the chance of promotion with no purchase fee?

If Loft isn't injured then not featuring for us much in pre-season isn't a good sign for him and I'm sure as soon as Joey can move him on he will, or at least he should do IMHO.

If JB did not rate Loft he would be well gone by now, obviously the rejuvenated Loft is in his plans for this season in some form

Loft surprised last year for a while
Think he’s one of the players most underrated by the fans.

Loft surprised last year for a while Think he’s one of the players most underrated by the fans. The only thing that surprised me regarding Loft was that he got game time. But I have to agree before his injury he did have a couple of good games. But if we want to progress I'm afraid we won't do it with him. Division 4 is his sealing.
