What a salty statement from the club! The line about not being about the south stand should have been left off altogether.

I'll say it again - The future's Bright, the future's Gorringe... but for how long?

For me, it's the utter naivety.
It has always been the case that established ruling classes will use any means available to maintain their position.
It has been, and is, education. Look at the narrow group of schools and universities the current government are drawn from.
The media. Who owns the main printed media? Watch the attacks on the BBC when they are deemed to have stepped out of line.
Look at the activities of the police, infiltrating protest groups with under cover officers.

I could go on. But the point is this stuff has been going on the ruling classes granted the right to vote.
Using a debit card is not going to make the situation any worse. Quoting A1 when none of us know how that might be utilised, other than speculation.

Look at our own club. Do we really know what is going on? 20 years after the prospect of fan involvement was first mooted we know less now than we did then. Sales manager allegedly sacked after he was tasked with running a build project. Club Secretary resigns and is replaced by a kid, who allegedly has now gone. An owner who p***ed away nigh £20M, got us relegated following a disastrous policy implementation and recruited an inexperienced manager with a highly dubious reputation. Now has given up and sold out to people of whom we know nothing.

And still we will turn up like lemmings, shout dogs abuse at players and officials, laugh at the latest jokes about immigrants and vote for absolute buffoons like Johnson, Rees-Mogg and GoA's particular hero, Thatcher.

We have so much more we should learn from than the use of Debit Cards and AI.

To be fair we have strayed into a political discussion prompted by GoAs reference to state control and China.

Back to Bright, if it was not him that screwed up the South Stand rebuild, who was responsible?

mad. the way it's written makes it sound like it's nothing to do with the thing you think it is, but it basically is.

All they had to say as BS as it might have been, was

Dave joined the club in December 2021 and was responsible for Sales, Marketing, Ticketing and Retail.

That would at least be professional. I can't believe a HR person would let a statement like what has been published be put out like that
