Centre midfield is a massive weakness. Really need another signing We’ve only got two fit central midfielders. If one of these gets injured or banned (which is very likely) we will struggle even more. Our best midfielder is still months away from returning. As good as Rossiter is, he is no good to us being constantly injured. He will transform this midfield when he is back for but can we trust him to play more than 5 games before he is injured again. We need to bring in two quality central midfielders before this window ends. And top quality at that. For all Finley’s hard work and effort for me he is not up to the level required for a top half league one side. Ward I would say is but he needs a quality ball winner alongside him |

We r by far the better team, even Barnsley fans can't argue with that, shame Williams and Brown are not playing, what it would be like if they were

Attendance: 7,929 (500 Tykes) Can’t imagine we’ve had many first home attendances lower than that whilst we’ve been at the Mem? Maybe Grayson/Atkins times? 7071 v Stevenage 2021 7668 v Wycombe 2019 for starters. |

Full backs looking the weak link again. Really shouldn’t be losing this game, we’ve had more than enough chances to not only be drawing but leading. Very frustrating, feel like I’ve seen this script before Yeah this game has got us being all over Barnsley in the second half only for them to score a second on the break late on written all over it. Feels a lot like last season. |

Well we have had a go without much joy….
Collins and Marquis have missed sitters …
Collins is getting sassy with his team mates …
Antony Evans looks excellent ..
Crama looks one heck of a signing…
As for the moaners re their goal … one hell of a strike keeper had little chance. Luca lost Cadden and it was an Exocet missile. Luca has lost him a few times.
If we are serious about being a top ten side then Finley is not the answer in midfield and no way should be captain.
Would put AC down the middle and bring on SS7 for Big John.
Barnsley look very decent but we have opened them up a few times and should be at least level…

Should be winning, the Marquis header easier to score than miss and wtf was Collins playing at - either smash it in the corner or square to Thomas.
Very similar to last season so far as in we’ve played quite well created a fair bit haven’t taken our chances and the one chance they’ve had they were clinical.

Should be 2-1 up albeit against the run of play.
Barnsley’s quality on the ball and possession is tidier and sharper than ours.
We’ve given away possession too many times with unforced errors.

I can't recall many decent efforts on goal from Barnsley apart from the goal, I feel Rovers performed better at Pompey last week in the first half.
Marquis had a shocking first half, if he doesn't improve after the break I'd bring on Loft just to give their central defenders something to think about.
Pretty certain Grant would give us more options than Gordon on the left side.
