I don't really get why people are getting wound up with Joey releasing it on Twitter subscription when we all knew it was happening and there will be a release from the club tomorrow.
It just baffles me some have to make a mountain out of a molehill we have signed a player and will be wearing the blue and white quarters tomorrow.
Don't care how it's announced all I care about is he is now with us.

I am very happy, am fully behind Barton and have been since the beginning. But I also don’t like that he has a subscription Twitter account, especially when he’s releasing club information like signings from that channel. Why does it have to be one or the other? Can one not have different feelings on different issues? Of course. Hence why I said each to their own. However when every single topic becomes full of criticism of the manager, even when he's bringing in top quality young players to Rovers like Harvey Vale, it becomes increasingly tiresome. I mean, your each to their own comment was right after a complaint that people are Barton bashing. Let’s be honest,. You were suggesting that anyone who comments about it are Barton bashers. I can understand the frustration from your side, there is an annoying amount of bashing though on other subjects. However, can you not see the viewpoint of why others don’t like the idea of subscribing to his Twitter for club uodates? |

Personally I don't have an opinion either way (i.e. I don't care) I wouldn’t say I’m passionately against it, I just don’t like it. It doesn’t feel right to me. While I openly admit to my mates that I enjoy and see the benefits of having an ex-Prem manager, what I love about Rovers is that the players/staff are relatable. They’re people like you or I. Having to subscribe to our manager and personally pay him to hear updates just feels wrong. I have no problem with it if he’s just posting personal views, but releasing club info like signings just seems is just wrong IMO. I wasn’t aware that he said in the ast he said he’d do it, but that makes no difference to me. If the government warns me 6 months in advance they’re increasing my tax, if doesn’t change the way I feel about it when it happens |

The issue people have is its club news and JB is an employee. Club should be doing the reveal.
If the media team have spent time doing a reveal video which they have got very good at then people will say, that's a waste of time now, why bother.

I have seen no announcement from the club Well if we signed him yesterday it will take the media dept a while to select the appropriate tease footage and record the all important standing with the shirt pose or holding the scarf aloft. Seems like the theatre of the announcement is more important than getting the news out promptly! |

Perhaps if the manager didn't leave himself open to criticism fans wouldn't criticise? Why not just be happy that for whatever reason he's attracting loan players of the quality of Elliot Anderson and Harvey Vale that we've rarely seen before at this club? Or that he's building a very good squad of players? falls on deaf ears, people on here just love to moan, they won't get through the day otherwise, I moan about Putin, I moan about cost of living and people who cant afford to eat and pay their mortgage, some like to moan about JB Twitter |

I 'trust' the management team know about him though hence the signing Yes, it wasn’t meant to be a criticism merely an observation and the media team do seem to be under pressure to deliver something witty, clever and contrived with each announcement, not only egged on by our own fans but by the competition of other teams announcement postings. As for whether we should be excited well I guess there’s usually only one England captain in each age group barring injuries and he has been the main one for his at u19 and now u20. Suggests he not only has talent but a level of footballing wisdom. As we saw with Billy Elliott, it wasn’t just the skills he had but where and when he positioned himself in order to make the best use of them. |

There are some (rightly or wrongly) that believe that this is the clubs news to break and they follow the club to get that information. However, it seems like it is JB news to break and to follow JB, they need to pay. Of course, in the end they get the news. Personally, I have no problem with JB having a X feed behind a pay wall. I probably do if he is selling the clubs content (which I think is the allegation here). If JB was doing a replay of Saturdays game and then doing an analysis of each play (we created a pivot or double pivot) and stopped the game to show the formation and how the positional play was then I would say fair play (I might even subscribe to learn a bit more about tactics). However, getting people to subscribe by being the first to break club news. It just doesn't feel like that is the kind of content he should be selling. |

Oh well, I guess if people can’t see the problem with the manager releasing club information first on his own subscription Twitter account and what it now says about our club and what they think of our fans including the debacle of the South Stand then having an alternative opinion seems a bit pointless nowadays. None so blind…. UTG! It's a changing world we live in. I know it can be difficult for older people to adapt  Perhaps you’re right and you young whipper-snappers wouldn’t know the difference between right and wrong if it came up and kicked you in the ****. What was the context behind Joey's Tweet? Anyone know.? If he was asked a direct question about vale and Answered he's signing yes then that's different to revealing it.
Bit like klopp revealing Liverpool had agreed a deal to sign caceido before the club announced it then ended up with massive egg on their faces 🤣

I am hopefully fair and praise where deserved, but there are some times he deserves criticising. This is one for me and if it was Garner or Tisdale doing similar I bet a lot of the people that have no problem now would. Not wound up, it's just a bit disrespectful to fans and probably any other employer would have a problem with it.
Anyway lets hope he is actually decent. JB finally back on the touchline needs to have us competing top8-10 very soon or it will get very much worse on here!
