Going this evening. My first game of the season.
I first went to The Valley in January 1976, we lost 3-0. I’ve been four or five times since (not last season) and have never seen us play well. So I’d be delighted with a point tonight.
It’s always one of my least favourite away trips, even though I’ve lived in London for 40 years now. Not sure why, it isn’t just that we always lose there.

I think Marquis will be rotated. He looked tired after Saturday.
As stated at beginning of the thread it might be only game three but a coming soon is a demolition of the opposition by Bristol's true club. Barnsley escaped one on Saturday. If we had scored first it would have been a tidal wave.
Away Win 1-4. Late consolation goal Alfie May (our mistake switching off). Goals from the width Thomas & Collins Set piece Taylor & one through the middle Brown.

Always enjoyed watching their midfielder Scott Fraser play with his lovely passing range. Hopefully our midfield can stop him and Dobson dictating the tempo. I'm going for another hard fought 1-1. UTG. No enjoyment for you tonight pirate,Fraser is out injured. |

UTG. i think that is the key, stopping Fraser. Apparently Pratley for Orient nullified him, although Charlton still sneaked a win. However I think we are a better team than Orient. I'm feeling optimistic, the players are starting to gel together, we've proved ourselves against two top teams.
It's clear we've got a much better defence than last season. Collins and Marquis will be a threat like they were at The Valley last season and Evans looks like he's returning to his best.
Hoping Jevani Brown is recovering from his slight knock as he'd be someone good to have on the bench tonight.
