Would be okay with this on a short term / one year deal for sure. Probably slightly better if not on par performance levels with Luca. I just worry this is a signal a Cardiff or Swansea are sniffing around Hoole. Unless Gibbons injury is worse than initially expected or he is off to L2 or Port Vale perhaps? Probably more likely Newport are sniffing around Hoole, given the Charlton winger made him look a poor L1 RB on Tuesday. One game? Ridiculous comment, Did you see how he played the second part of last season? |

I just can’t see us signing JCH Well three league one clubs are apparently in for him at the moment, so statistically there's a fair chance we're one of them. When you consider most won't be able to afford him. |

A think a club would need to be paying 7 figures and I don't see that club being us. |

But his pedigree at a higher level speaks for itself.

I'll admit, I've never heard of the bloke. But his pedigree at a higher level speaks for itself. Impressive signing. Though I wonder what this means for Hoole / Gibbons? Gibbons will be sold, along with Belly and Loft I’d imagine Hoole and Hunt will battle it out for first choice RB, both are capable of playing more than one position, and we definitely have a strong squad coming together Hoole is very much one I’d like us to nurture and develop, sometimes you forget how old our defenders are!! It’s the same with Beefy, I hope we are patient with him too, another useful squad member UTG |

You think he could move to the centre in the DCM role? His experience could be great if backed up by the speedy youngsters playing at the back? I'd be surprised and think he's more likely competition for the RB/RWB role. Although right side is where he might play the majority of his rovers games I can see him sharing the DCM role with Grant, Ward and Finley until we get some good news on Rossiter. |
