Never an easy encounter against these cheating, shirt format thieving, chair making (anyone can do that) pretend rivals.
The gamesmanship police should be busy today.
So many poignant past matches that have we have ended up on the wrong end of, yet these guys have decided a 25year gravity to remain a league club, they were our last league match at Twerton and actually, have a genuinely lovely view from their ground.... hellfire!
I think surely we'll have too much for them this time round!?
Don't want to get complacent....with the thunder and lightning coming in early doors (hopefully see some of you down the road in some sort of reprobate shelter?), hopefully we can metaphorically replicate this on the pitch to claim the bragging rights in this hostile encounter...?

JM has had time to tune his radar boots in last few matches, should now be in fine tune.... maybe a 2 goal hawl? Perhaps a hat trick?
No safety officer coming to your rescue this time, chairboys...... mainly because no bugger knows if we have one these days!

Hopefully Brown is back today. I'd maybe swap Finley with Bogarde and Evans with Brown.

Old habits die hard so I'm expecting the usual anti football from the away team.
Dont make any plans before 5 15, they've already played 7 minutes more than us in second half added time (40 vs 33) over the first 4 games. Hope the refs maintain their clamp down on boring time wasting.
Hope we put them to the sword and Collins finally starts putting away his chances. But I'd take a stodgy 1-0 win (Taylor header).

It's going to be an ugly game. It almost always is against Wycombe.
We were totally ineffective against Cambridge last week. Yes, had Collins scored we might have won, but we struggled to create chances or put them under any pressure. We got what we deserved.
Wycombe are likely to set up much like Cambridge, so I'll be interested to see if we've found a better way to play against these type of teams.
I'm hoping with the players returning from injury and maybe a first start for Bogarde we'll see a much improved performance and our first home win of the season.
