Cox Hunt Wilson Crama Friend Ward Finley Thomas Brown Sinclair Collins ?? Assuming Brown just behind Collins in Evans’ role or it could even be Brown pushed up front with Collins playing the support role. Bench looks strong at least. Just need that out and out striker as the missing piece. Hopefully enough firepower to beat Wycombe today though. |

We’ve struggled defensively on both sides in previous games IMO. Nothing wrong with mixing it up now and again and time will tell if it works today or not. I get that, I just would have thought at least one of them would have made the bench as cover. True. I guess JB feels there’s enough cover/ options with the other players selected. |

Back in the day you never had a choice if cover' we are lucky these days that we can have a squad of 30. In my day it was 15 or maybe 18 depending what a club could afford |

The two fullbacks a major problem last week. Struggled defensively and failing in their wing back roles.
Hunt and Friend given their opportunity to show they can do that role better.
Problem we have now is we have more choice for the 18 places on a matchday and Finley clearly at risk when Woods gets up to speed.

Problem we have now is we have more choice for the 18 places on a matchday and Finley clearly at risk when Woods gets up to speed. I think it says a lot about what Barton thinks of Hoole and Gordon that he’s dropped them the first chance he gets. But then again we know that he’s very trigger happy after a dodgy performance too and with such a big squad the temptation to change it every week is going to be too tempting I think. We’re spoilt for choice in many positions and with such a big squad there will be some good steady players missing out every week, by my reckoning around 8 or 9. But if we are to challenge then that’s the depth we need. |

I am pretty sure that this is Leadership at its very best. Whilst others dither and delay Joe acts. He’s decisive when it matters. I’m so hopeful that today this team of experience and talent will bring home the performance and result we are looking for. Don’t mess with Joe. Bring it on.
