Both friend and hunt were fantastic I thought. You could tell both have played at a higher level and both an upgrade on hoole and Gordon. Both are certain starters if fit Saturday. Absolutely this. Hunt showed why he won promotion with SW last year. I thought he was a stand out player when we played them both times and I was stunned when we signed him. Him and LT combining were a joy at times and he never stopped looking for the ball. Friend has a proper footballing brain and a couple of his touches, passes and runs showed his quality too. We are literally a couple of strikers away from being the finished product. And yet we conceded two goals and lost at home again.

But if we'd scored a couple when we were so on top before Wycombe scored they would have probably caved in?

Joey mentioned a signing by Friday, maybe that’s gonna be the striker that can take the chances you’re speaking of, you always tend to fancy the last team to score to go on and take control of the game, be it an equaliser or making it 2-1. I player that only needs one chance will get you those points

Yes we need a striker but we need more form other areas as well. We are so wasteful with set pieces, rarely offer a threat and there is no variation. Even with throw ins in the attacking third nobody seems to take advantage to stand beyond defenders to at least be a distraction. As for Saturday, I just sensed that they would score from the free kick but looking at it why was Finley stood in front of Low? what is he going to do? It needed to be somebody taller to at least be able to attempt to clear or prevent him having clear sight of the ball.

We've never looked as good defensively since Kevin Bond left the club, not sure why he was never replaced with a defensive coach, as money no longer seems an issue.

Not only a penalty, if that was outside the box it should have been a booking too, the guy leapt at Brown when he was already in mid-air. You can see the Ref looking directly at the incident, but a penalty would not have gone with his gameplay. I know we were poor attacking wise but we were playing the Ref as well as Wycombe on Saturday. UTG Lee Swabey is an absolute lady garden of a ref. He’s poor week in, week out and that won’t be his first shocker of the season. When I saw him listed as the ref, against a real 💩house team like Wycombe as well, my heart sank and I knew it was going to be a poor afternoon and I said as much to my mates too. I didn't realise he was part of the group which led to JB getting his 3 match stadium ban, that probably explains those dodgy looking decisions. At least JB kept his cool and doesn't now fave another ban, although the club will probably now get a fan for the stupid bottle throwing incident.

I turned 37 last week and my dad bought me my first season ticket when I was 11…. I can’t remember I single season in all that time we were any good at throw ins lol

More bizarre the individual didn’t have a word & have it corrected, if they didn’t eat half of them before that pic was taken of course👀 I had cheesey chips from the fanzone & it was fully heaped 👌🏻 Somebody in the fan zone stood next to me was eating cheesy chips and I thought how big a portion was that. I am suspicious of the original photo Perhaps they had small hands? Dainty ladies make my portion look bigger in their hands...

The season season I thought we were was (I think) our first season up under Trollope with Stuart Campbell taking them… other than that nothing comes to mind lol

Sutton beat a full strength Wycombe at home tonight. So by gaschat thought process, we are worse than Sutton. Cool.

Can't help thinking of Brian Glover in Kes when I see Lee Swabey. Same standard of refereeing as well
