Thought Collins had a good first half...but was wasteful in the second. Why does Sinclair not start? We always look more likely to score when he is on the pitch.

Just gives away fouls or possession I don't think he's a natural CF, surely there's a free agent CF we can still sign, Connor Wickham, Lyle Taylor etc all seem to be without a club |

Just gives away fouls or possession I don't think he's a natural CF, surely there's a free agent CF we can still sign, Connor Wickham, Lyle Taylor etc all seem to be without a club I think we have to now as I cannot see anyone suddenly start scoring apart from Collins who is currently badly out of sorts |

The usual pair (Topper and the Gulf lass/lad) trying to antagonise people are posting again tonight then. So sad. Anyway, we deserved at least the draw and there are clear signs that we will "click" soon. Glad to see Finley have a half decent game, because of the freedom Woods gave him. (What a signing). Again, Luke Thomas was magnificent and ditto Hunt. Why Joey starts Anthony Evans on the bench is beyond me though. He's young, fit and can happiness a menace for 90 minutes. Hey ho, we go again. Cox won us the point with two decent 1 on 1 saves and the usual forum hate figure, Grant, with a powerful header for his goal. Their keeper also made a good save from collins in the first half. |

i doubt DB got upset because I asked if we'd won 3-0 given his high assessment of half of our players? What did LT do to warrant being classed as magnificent? We've gone full circle back to BG football where we never even test the opposition goalie. If I was a Lincoln fan I'd be gutted they that managed to throw away a 1-0 win when we only forced their goalie into a decent save in injury time in the second half before conceding from the resultant corner. When we're playing against teams who let us have the ball, conceding first is disastrous and that's happened in our last 3 games. Score first and it's another story. We need to find a way but it's not doom and gloom, we'll get there

Actually glad we have a week off now from league action because unless we start scoring we are going to be same as last season in the lower reaches of the league.
Our play at times is great but why we need to pass the ball into the net is beyond me ..
Starting selection again baffled me .. Finley did well for 10 minutes only and is fast becoming a real liability.
Anyway marks as we saw them…
Cox- 7- When called upon did well- great save at the end to secure the point. About time everyone got behind him.
Friend - 6 - ok but not sure if he is truly an improvement br]
Wilson - 7 - Did the basics pretty well - should be captain.
Crama - 6- Slow in the ball - Not great distributing today.
Hunt - 6 - Busy first half - faded as the game went on.
Finley - 4 - Neither a leader or midfield dynamo .
Bogarde 5 - Disappointing and didn’t add much. Not very physical when challenged.
Woods -8 - Excellent - vocal and distributed well. Tired naturally . Could well be brilliant this season.
Collins - 6 - look disinterested at times - a shadow of last seasons good spell
Brown - 6 Maybe I expect too much but haven’t been impressed yet. Was marked by their big No5 who won everything in the air and simply battered him when he received a ground pass
Thomas 7 - Cannot be faulted for effort but his final pass let him down. So many times I wanted him to shoot and he failed with the pass instead .
Subs ..
Evans -6 Huge improvement on Finley - gave us some zip going forward
Grant - 6 - Looking fitter and got the goal at the death
Sinclair 5 - Added little
Vale 5 - Added Little
Marquis 4 - Added nothing. If he can’t take this chance now to be the Man he never will .
Ref Team - 6 - Did ok I thought - not helped by a poor linesman on the East stand side.
Joe Barton - 4 - Poor choice leaving out Ward for his pal Finley and on 85 minutes sat in the dug out with his head in his hands looked like he had given up. Pre match and post match interviews were waffle .
Fans 4- Quiet in the main but had little to cheer about .
Lincoln 6 - Well disciplined and look like a very decent well drilled team
Radio Bristol 6 - Only heard snippets but feedback was that Sheridan did really well - Shame they had a Banned word fan interviewed openly criticising everyone for their JCH views when he was one who posted false info regarding JCH in Bristol on social media.
Looking forward to Tuesday night now - a different view from the East stand and hopefully some faces playing for a starting slot in coming weeks.

Wigan next up at home who won't sit back in a low block. They will come at us. The thing is, it wasn't even an early goal conceded today. We had almost an hour of huffing and puffing and running out of ideas by the minute. Why will Wigan (or any other team for that matter) come at us, when they all know they can sit back and put away chances which we will always give them? |

Even the commentator noticed she hardly said Collins' name in the 2nd half That's probably because by then she'd forgotten his name, watching it back she constantly referred to JG as Joel Grant and somehow she got Luke Thomas confused with somebody called "Hamilton". I thought for an hour Collins played reasonably well and was the only player having shots, as fans we can't have it both ways, moan players are trying to walk it into the net, then moan when players take shots and they go wide. Unless JB's keeping his cards close to his chest I doubt he's considering signing an out of contract CF. |
