The point was none of us knew the reasons and that people could have tried to play silly buggers. According to the clubs OFFICIAL statement, changes were requested to the deal at the last minute and it therefore fell through. Ergo had they not f**ked about, we'd have had ample time to submit the paperwork and he'd probably be a Rovers player now. If you want to believe conspiracy theories or that the clubs lying, that's completely your perogative. But that doesn't make the point of my original post (before anything came out) less on the money ; the original tent is that this may not be entirely the clubs fault. If TG is being truthful we missed the 11pm deadline by 4 seconds, surely we could have saved that time somewhere? Then why wait til 11:20pm to ask for the 15mins extension, what was TG doing for those 20 mins, having a comfort break? JCH may have messed us about but we still seem to have had 'til 11:15 to get everything over to the EFL. Well yes, I'm sure we didn't miss it by 4 seconds intentionally Topper 🙄 And where has this "we asked for an extension at 11.20" come from? That's news to me. Or is that some random Gaschat fact?

Well I wasn't even aware he said it Topper so I'm not sure why you'd assume what I'd think about it. I'm sure though that whatever you feel about it, you'll feel the exact opposite before long.

This hasn't aged well, has it. We didn't pull the plug, not consciously. We submitted the paperwork. It was rejected. WE SUBMITTED THE PAPERWORK, IT GOT REJECTED. That is what Rovers themselves have said. The interesting thing is that we haven't said why it was rejected. We are all assuming that it was a timing issue. Eh?? It's aged brilliantly. Posh version is they were sorted their end by 9ish - fine; agreed. To them, we must have therefore fked it up. But what they aren't privy to is that at the last minute , JCHs agent tried to pull a fast one - exactly as I guessed above. Hence Posh ARE telling the truth. But they can tell the truth and our statement can still be true for that reason. We've probably not thrown JCH and his agent under the bus, just incase we still want to do a deal at a later date. The assumption is we caved - as inevitably we do appear to have tried submitting the paperwork -so it's fair to assume we would have wanted him still, despite the last minute screw over. So not really sure what you're on about "not aging well" - think it's bang on the money and a superb shout. I also have since found out that its not just "submitting paperwork". The EFL documentation is 22 pages in length and if one tiny section is missed its null and void and its not a case of uploading a standard PDF document and hitting send. Either way I cant help but think that this was all completely avoidable from us, to JCH, his agent and P'boro. Another thing that has come to like that does grip a little bit in all this as well is why JCH is represented by an agent whos banned from representing players but who uses a loophole 3rd party to ratify contracts. Surely the FA need to get on this and stamp it out. Football agency seems to be next up the ladder from being a kingpin in the drug and pimping world doesnt it.

Think at most organizations and clubs the role of the secretary is absolutely pivotal in ensuring competence and efficiency.
