I'd give him until Jan, we have surely learnt about injury prone and long deals Surely Wickham is a short term answer until January. He played in the championship last season : netted 9 in 20 in division one and as bags of experience . His wages could be a factor having experienced premiership football / championship football. If we were going to pay JCH wages then how can Wickham's be a factor, as surely he can't want more than L1's best striker in recent season's?

Lyle Taylor apparently looking for a Championship club but hasn't found one yet and I doubt many other L1 clubs have a spare few £K to spend on a striker after the transfer window's closed? [b A few Plymouth fans said he turned them down. So not sure if he will drop to League 1. The longer he's a free agent, the now likely he will be to drop lower though. |

Do we really need anyone? I wasn’t sure but finally came round to thinking JCH would have been a good idea. However, why do we need another striker? We got promoted without a “Striker”.
I feel we fell apart when Jordan Rossiter got injured last season. He wasn’t only a destroyer type midfielder but very quick at starting counterattacks. We aren’t doing that so far this season. We haven’t been given many opportunities as the opposition has learnt to sit back and leave us to it.
I’m hopeful Woods may have a bit of spark to him after yesterday’s performance (but not sure). He was definitely an improvement (unlike most of the others that I would rate as equal to those they replaced).
We need a settled side soon please JB. Maybe favour our own youngsters a bit more? No surprise to see Connolly get MoM at Morecombe yesterday. UTG!

People thinking buying a striker will make any difference are missing the point. Barton has already built a side more than capable of getting a top 6 finish but he’s holding that squad back with ridiculous tactics. He either needs to understand what this level is about and pronto or move on. Barton does understand this level, it’s where he has managed most of his managerial career so far. No one was questioning tactics or his ability after the first three games of this season were they? |

The fact Coburn played so many games last season once he recovered from his injury highlights the need for a striker. |
