Hoole has to play surely?
If Gibbons isn't fit at full back and perhaps at CB alongside Taylor if Gibbons does play.
Hall or dare I say Belshaw will play in goal. With no reserve games they need proper match practice.
I read somewhere Hall has a two year contract so if he is the future, best to blood him in one of these type of games. We know Joey doesn't like to field youngsters in nothing end of season games.
It still seems strange to me Jones did not feature in the last 4-5 matchday squads at the end of the season. The odd ten minutes cameo in midfield, on the wing or at full back in the last few league games (how many of those did we win with a full strength team anyway?) would have been more important IMO in his development rather than playing the full 90 minutes for an already relegated Hungerford.

How many goals will CTFC score tonight?
Probably NONE.
They have 5 players involved in International fixtures this weekend.
The suggestion that we might move this game to the Reading match slot was a non-starter.
Like us, they have 5 loan players to integrate.
The match tonight might be a battle of the loanees.
Having not scored any goals in seven matches so far this season CTFC will be looking to break their duck tonight.
Their results to date are:

Bet they score tonight but so will we and plenty of them .... If Not JB needs some real reflection time about the value he is adding to this squad.
Hopefully we play Vale in his correct position and if we do I fancy he will score ! - He could actually slot in to that No 9 position i sense if required.
Serious chance for Big John to get up and running and a chance for a few others to show what they can do.
This tournament is on JBs wish list - Owners will want Wembley and it could help towards January incomings.

Strange decision by the club to charge £20 to sit down for a game of this status after the way fans have mucked about with the removal of seats at the ground.
Fairly sure that until recently seats for these games were £10.

Weston-super-mare vs Yeovil for me tonight. If it was a league
game vs Cheltenham then I would have made the effort
But a evening of p*ss taking out of Yeovil is more appealing.
Could be worse could be non-league ,oh wait 🤣🤣🤣

If the squad is drilled to play the way that we have witnessed so far, we'll lose tonight.
Possession football is fine but we need to be able to do it in the right areas.
CBs playing 2 touch is a risky business.
I'd rather try to play the short pass stuff in the final 3rd, so that if it breaks down there's 5 or 6 players to get through before attacking the goal.
When the inevitable diagonal switch comes, it's a 50/50 between one of our forwards and a defender who is reading the game.
Even Cheltenham will deal with us on current approach so I am really hoping that the new CM-Woods, encourages link up between defence and attack rather than tip tap whoosh.
