I’m Pro Barton, but another draw or defeat will surely be the beginning of the end for him. Will he play 3 DM against the mighty CTFC? Time will tell! I don’t think tonight’s result will make a blind bit of difference, we’re not even definitely out of the cup if we lose, and no one cares about it until the semi finals.

The Robins have good memories of this competition as a consequence of their run last year.
They eventually lost on penalties against Plymouth Argyle in front of 12,000 fans at the semi-final stage.
On the way they beat the Chelsea Under 21 side, Milton Keynes Dons, Walsall, Forest Green Rovers and Salford City.
Along the way they scored 14 goals. Liam Sercombe, Ryan Broom and Alfie May scored a hateful of goals. Only Liam remains.

Hopefully we will put out a decent starting lineup tonight & start turning the vast amounts of possession football we seem to be getting into chances, making the opposition keeper work & obviously score a few.

Do you go full strength in the hope that we put in a good performance and players that are struggling get a boost that helps them find their best form?
Do you try something completely different and change the entire team?
Personally, I think I'd play a mix of the 2.
We haven't got a game for 11 days so fatigue shouldn't be an issue.
GK Gibbons Taylor Crama Gordan Bogarde Evans Brown Collins Vale Marquis
Subs: GK, Wilson, Grant, McCormick, Ward, Thomas, Sinclair
We could really do with Collins, Brown or Marquis getting their first goal of the season.

I think this game is more important than usual trophy games. The team have not done well so far and really need a convincing win. The 2nd game will probably see much more fringe elements to it.

Anyway it's not important because nobody who matters to him cares about the result tonight.

Not the starting 11 I was expecting! Trying to work out formation…. 3 at the back with Gibbons and Grant either side of Taylor? Or Bogarde in at Centre Back with Taylor with Gibbons and Grant at full back to make a 4… ?

Surprised Gordon doesn't get a start he must have really upset JB.

Blimey!
Work that formation out!
As much as I like the idea of trying new things, there has to come a point where JB starts to stick to a formation and allow the team to gel
Absolutely no idea how he’s going to set up tonight, but all this chopping and changing systems gives us no ability to develop going forward!
Hope I’m wrong and we win 5-0

Pizza cup. Are we playing a league team, or a youth team. Hell, why not throw the ladies teams in this tournament or put a bell in a ball and invite the England blind team to play. Or a basketball team? Who knows which way this crazy, pointless tournament will go next?
We may as well just dedicate the time to worshipping at the feet of the big clubs and get our players to mow the lawns and polish the boots of the Man City under 13s team.

You can argue all you like about the validity of the cup, but it’s still a chance to gain confidence and get momentum for the league. If the club deem it worthless then don’t bother risking any of your top players in ANY game! Either that, or take it seriously and use it to develop your system. For me, this line up does neither!! Why? are they in the competition - NO. Are they in the league - NO. It hasn't happened, but if it happens it has absolutely nothing to do with this competition. The Gas are the only losers this stance.

I understand no programmes, but why no 50/50?
If it raises £100 it's still £100 less than Wael has to pay back on the South Stand loan and I bet most winners spend a bit in the bar and the shop.
Don't the club want to try and earn money?
It must be one of the few profitable things the club do within all its operations!
The loyal fans who are here tonight are the ones to buy a 50/50. Were loyal supporters, faithful and true, we'll always follow the boys in blue (even if a naysayer journalist makes up a conspiracy theory to sell papers re the big boys buying the game - don't they do that anyway!)
Surely the card machines dont cost that much.
Let's face it a 50/50 in the EFL trophy makes more than the Pirates Pots money raised so far!
