So in the end a great away win … was in the laps of the Gods for over an hour though. Scores as we saw them … Cox - 7’ One Smart save and good handling and distribution. Getting better each game. Hunt - 7. Becoming a real favourite of our group - Hard working and some great blocks in the first half Taylor - 9 MoM - Got better and better and won everything in the air. Wilson -7 Cool calm and very effective. Talking to CT constantly. Grant - 6 Did ok was caught out of position a few times but link up play was decent. Evans -6 Solid in midfield - silly booking . As LB would love to see him shoot more. Woods -6 Quieter than previous games but tidy and distribution was ok Bogarde - 6 Started slowly but burst into life in the second half when he was suddenly everywhere - would love to see him shoot more. Thomas - 6 Worked hard usually with two markers on him. Collins -7 Good sense to follow in CTs header - looked lively and took on the defenders more. Big JM -7 Quiet for an hour but got into the game and pulled their two CBs all over the place. Very well taken goal . Good skipper as well. Subs used except Grant McCormick -6 Very lively when he came on - hustling all over the midfield. Brown - 7 Looked very good and his moving the ball quickly helped set up our first goal. Finley -6. Didn’t see him do much. Away Fans - 8 Loud and Proud throughout. Well done all. JB - 7 Got the subs right this week. Ref Team - 7 Pretty good - handed out some bookings and when LT tried to be too clever with a free kick he simply shrugged his shoulders and we lost possession. Shrewsbury -5 Not great and we beat them. BBC Bristol Team Sheridan 7 Lively and enthusiastic - Needs to recognise players better. Brookman 3 Embarrassing Little Britain type character bumbling along on his free days out. I agree with all this apart from the bit about Keith Brookman. It’s not necessary to insult someone who’s been such a loyal servant to the club for so many years. In what way is his analysis’ embarrassing & which Little Britain character do you have in mind? No, he’s never played professional football but he can at least refer to our past seasons & games as a fan. Sheridan plainly knows nowt about Rovers so it’s reasonable to have someone with in depth know of the team & history of the club alongside her. I’d sooner hear KB than bloody Gary Owers bumbling on & on about the S**t, that’s for sure! Similarly, I’d sooner hear KB than some ex pro who played for us for a couple of seasons, can’t string a sentence together & knows nothing about the history & lore of Rovers! Solid 6 for KB from me.

Best commentary for a while. Sheridan has a nice enthusiasm in her voice. Keith managed to avoid saying "to be honest with you" until injury time! My main criticism is they just don't say we're the ball is. It's painfully obvious. 5 mins of listening to radio 5 and they are constantly telling you were the ball is. I don't understand how something so important can be missed.

At least it frees up the BP to go to 100% coverage on City, they’ve been itching to get it up from the previous 90% so JB has done them a favour. All those cosy nights in a plush box verses the cold east stand. They’ll be cock a hoop!

Not wishing to re-open the debate, but fair play to Dan for this. He's been decent so far, we all know the issues with the Post but his tweets and analysis is decent.

Well said. I thought the same when I read it . It was a nasty, unpleasant thing to say about a great servant to the club. By all means dislike the commentary he does but to get so personal is too much. Only my opinion of course! And the quality of the match day programme hasn’t quite recovered from him not being involved in it. I hope he doesn’t read this place, he doesn’t need to read that stuff. Sometimes you don’t know what you’ve got until you haven’t got it. Be careful what you wish for. UTG

Agreed. KB is good value and entertaining. GO does my head in. What's supporting the club got to do with being a commentator? Surely you want someone who doesn't have a slanted view, someone with a closer to objective view. I'd prefer to have SR just commentating by herself, KB adds zilch substance and is just like a fan in a terrace muttering on about "unlucky" "great squad", we can get "90 Pts". Saying all that I think it may be harder to be a co commentator than the main commentator.

Durden and Hoskins the best comms for me on BBRB. I dont mind a female commentator but I do find the high pitch excitment tones such as a penalty or goal a touch too much to bear at times. Durden goes down an octave at intense moments rather than up which is a fantastic way of commentating. I like her - Nice to have a bit of passion and better than the monotone of some. I thought she was at least enthusiastic towards Rovers. Some of the other commentators sound most joyous when we concede a goal. We know and she is very openly a YTFC supporter and thats fine as she comments positively about Rovers. Im happy with her commentating some Rovers games.

Brown’s pass to Collins looks even better from that angle.
