I don't get Gas burners angle.
Coming across as more of WUM than anything to me..
Lines such as.
"I wont be forced into revealing my identity in this way. However, the more engagement the site gets, the more features I introduce and that will include presentation." Screams I'll dangle a rod with a tasty carrots on it and you can keep following it without getting a nibble.
Also seems to have no answers and back tracks when questioned about possible accusations that could come their way and unprofessional behaviour.
If the club wanted to act on this thread alone to investigate, it would be possible to get IP addresses and destinations for each post.

Really surprised that the full time critics haven't picked on the Facebook Ad released via the official club feed yesterday. heavily promoting Sainsburys with Hal Robson Kanu urging us to shop for his product in Sainsburys. At least the product is a lot more healthy than the usual ads for sugar filled 'energy' drinks. What was that advert all about. Sainsbury's and Hal Robson Kanu.. seemed very random thing to post. I just assumed it was some kind of spoof advert, I didn't realise it was a genuine one for some herbal remedies! |

Its bollocks, TG gets associated to this interview that may not have happened as the person can no longer tell you what was said in detail. But there was some suggestion it wasn't great news ?? Whatever the current state of play with the Fruit Market is, all that information is highly confidential and so if TG told some bloke with a twitter account about it the best case is that he'd lose his job and the worst case is there would be external investigations into the information that was leaked. I'm not suggesting TG is a good CEO but there's no way he gives a 2hr interview to someone (potentially revealing sensitive information) and then says none of it can be released... |

Otherwise we start edging towards the point where the fanbase start to judge the new owners on a lack of communication and that judgement will not be positive... I can see why FM information is confidential and that will also have an impact on any plans for the Memorial Stadium - we might have to patiently wait until various deadlines pass to learn it's dead, or there might be complex negotiations ongoing to keep it alive - either way that's why there is no news on that. But that shouldn't mean complete radio silence, plenty of other things they could be talking to the fans about.... |

I don’t disbelieve that Gorringe did an interview. It ties in with the usual type of people he does these things with.
My question is who blocked it going out and why ?

In recent times wael has highlighted that communication between the club and the supporters had been poor and he went on record to say he would make sure it improved.
In my opinion it's probably worse now than it's ever been. This gas burner interview has been blown right up because we just don't get any information from the club anymore and have to learn everything through articles leaked to the Bristol post or people like gas burner claiming to have information.
If the club would just bloody communicate to us what the hell is going on behind the scenes then things like gas burner wouldn't blow up the way they have.
I'm sure the old chestnut will come out of confidentiality clauses but I'm sorry that doesn't wash with me anymore.

At the time the account has a few hundred followers and most people assumed it was not a genuine account. They would assume that people had some common sense and that they wouldn't need to acknowledge it. Straight away they were trying to up their followers and it didn't come across as genuine. Saying they could do an interview, then it was delayed. Saying they would release the interview, then saying it would take longer to get it right, then saying they are still working on it. Then when they couldn't delay anymore, they said they were blocked from doing it😂. All sounds genuine and believable. |

I too think it's horsesh*t.
Think some lad somewhere has decided to start a Twitter account / boost his followers so makes up some interview, gets everyone's attention, additional followers etc and then - to get out of having to post the false interview - says the club asked them to pull it (which was always the posters' plan).
For me, it's completely illogical that TG would give the interview and THEN mention it to the club / ask permission for it's release. If you were worried about fallout, you'd surely check first. As it's also a very risky game by TG - for all he knew is Gasburner could just not comply and release it anyway. So it doesn't make any sense.
And if we're saying Gasburner asked the club if he could post it..... why? Why would you ask? If the CEO gives you an interview, you'd assume it's implicitly been agreed that it's okay to post anyway... otherwise what's the point; why would he give you the interview in the first place?
So TLDR:
Gasburner came up with a plan to gain followers by lying about an interview, knowing full well he'd never post it but that - having gained those followers as part of the ruse - the vast majority would remain following him going forwards.

Anybody ever ask their Boss what they were earning? What their net worth was? What they were spending it on? Ask for weekly, monthly updates? And then go hunting around on Companies House to find any of that out?

That's an interview with a real person. Has he ever done an interview to someone, with a new account, with less followers than that are following, who won't give out their name when asked?? He would have got more interest, if you interviewed him. |
