A lot of it looks pretty flattened to me and most of that really doesn't look like strategic targets either. What's really odd about this tactic of heavy bombing a City, and we've heard about this sort of problem before, is that it makes it very difficult for tanks and armour to move about, leaving ground troops very exposed to an "enemy" that is well dug in and waiting. I haven't watched the news but know what goes on. Israel will have strict ROE and won't want to face sanctions. It will be purposeful targetted shelling using technology to pick the hits. If you watched the news then you would know that so far targetted shelling of Gaza City is NOT what's been happening. Schools, Hospitals, homes have all been hit.

Makes you wonder how, without actually being there, how any of us would have any idea of what is going on without the news media (MSN when referred to in derogatory terms) reporting. That doesn't mean we swallow everything as fact without counter balance, but that's all we have. I notice, with some trepidation, that Israelis are considering barring Al Jazeera from the area. Not the way to go.

You cannot trust our news channels to report what's actually going on without an element of bias. They are sales organisations these days. You are watching what they want to show you. I have first hand experience of this. Israel will be hitting targets. If schools, hospitals etc get hit or suffer collateral damage, it's not without consideration and the hits are intended to strike pre planned targets. This isn't carpet bombing or cluster bombing at random. That will happen once Israel and the international community are satisfied that the unfortunate Palestinians are out of the way. Remember, this is a war against Hamas, NOT Palestine. Those guys are the unfortunate hosts. Nobody wants to see innocent people caught up but terrorists like these will use whatever means to try and avoid the inevitable. I'm sorry guys but it's clear to me that most of you are detached from reality and rely on SKY and BBC to feed you. Those bastards raided a party and murdered kids at will and took hostages. They deserve total annihilation.

Come on Bags we both know 79 doesn't mean total annihilation of the Palestinian people and he does not support genocide. We all know he supports as do I and many others the annihilation of Hamas and only Hamas. Maybe Hezbollah too but that's for another day.

Like I originally said, I haven't watched the news(hardly at all to be honest) on Israel v hamas, but I know the story. My opinions are based on personal experience, a grasp on how military ops work, how terrorist organisations work, convos with old mates. Stuff like that. I see the reports and see the bias. I see the reporters sewing a narrative. I know that there are occasions that what they tell us is not quite what is happening on the ground. After the exchanges on here yesterday/Saturday, I have tuned into twitter to see what sky and BBC are reporting. Looped info as always with reporters on the ground. I did find the interview with Natasha Hausdorf and the Israeli ex PM to be revealing. Check those out if you lot haven't already for a rare glimpse at our news channels inviting the 'wrong' guests. BTW and this isn't meant to come across wrongly, I stand by my comments on covid and have some experience with the current topic. I'm a bit tired of arguing the same style with the same people tbf. If RD thinks I'm a , that's cool, we are all different but very similar..

I guess the dividing line, if indeed there is one, you make statements as if they are fact without any references to source. Then you tend to compound this by (what reads like) sneering at those who offer a different opinion by using derogatory terms such as "Main Stream Media" whilst hinting that we are all stupid and are "sold a story". I think click bait is the generally accepted term. Now it turns out, despite your protestations, you are exactly the same as the rest of us, you just form a different opinion. Now we all have that straight we can move on.

If RD thinks I'm a , that's cool, we are all different but very similar.. I saw the interview with Natasha Hausdorff, she ate Katya Adler for breakfast. However, she's not exactly impartial herself having a degree from Tel Aviv University and working for Lawyers for Isreal, so her interpretation isn't necessarily true either. The problem with Twitter is that bias, conscious or unconscious, isn't easily filtered out. Read past the headline and it's often worse than tabloid journalism. At least national broadcasters have guidelines and easily verifiable.
