Big 5 days for the gas and Joey.
Two games we should win
Minimum 4 points required to ease the pressure.
Can Joey adapt and tactically outthink Evans or will he hope our “better” players do what they should and just win our way.
Hoping for a comfortable night and 3-0 but really concerned they do an absolute number on us and come away with a 2-1 win
No idea who’s fit play but assume Crama and Brown will start.

On another note what always amazes me is how fairly successful Steve Evans has been as a manager. I men's if you're a professional footballer why are you going to listen to that fat f**ker telling you how to look after yourself as a professional footballer.

This is probably one of our toughest games yet this season due to the way Stevenage play and our inability to break teams down who play this way.
Would be a real statement if we win and win comfortably tonight but I fear were in for a right tough slog.

I think we will win or draw tonight, definite win Saturday as the team talk is done due to the vitriol towards us from Cobblers, 4 points is acceptable and pushes us back into mid table.
I’ve made my feelings aware on Barton and his tactics, we now need consistency and a run, draws are not the end of the world with wins. Come unscathed against these two sides, a home win against Whitby, it’s a win! And then we go to Reading unbeaten in front of 2500 plus Gasheads, the next 2 weeks could turn the season around.

What they look at and listen to is his tactical knowledge and man management skills. You could add why do the listen to a red faced boozer, Cloughie, Ferguson, Brian McDermott alcoholic and fat who took Reading to the Premiership. This game has got Evans doing a number on Barton written all over it..Love him or hate him he’s an experienced clever manager and knows how to win this level ! I’m dreading this game for that reason. I can see time wasting on their part about 15 minutes in. If they take a lead then game over. I’ve seen how he operates from the dugout - gets at the ref, winds up the opposition bench, gets his players diving and cheating … just horrible anti football, which is what we and Joey struggle with. That said, if we take an early lead then every chance we’ll put 4 or 5 past them. |

Can't say I'm particularly looking forward to this one.
Stevenage are an ugly side to watch so it's not going to be a great game. Unfortunately, they're very effective at what they do. 4th best away record in L1 and 7 clean sheets in 14 games.
We've struggled against this type of opposition so I'm not overly optimistic.
Given their defensive record I would say the first goal is important but after Saturday, who knows.
I'm assuming the following players are unavailable: Belshaw, Hunt, Wilson, Friend, Clarke, Rossiter, Ward, Woods, Thomas, McCormick, and Marquis probably not ready to start.
