The football is not dire at all. We are just currently weak at the back and impotent up front. A recipe for relegation. However we have a big injury list and really need a competitive striker for Marquis as Martin certainly isnt that (for all his effort). I want to win games. The football under GC wasn’t great but I went to every game thinking we’d win 1-0 at least. I’m not JB out, but he’s got 4 weeks to get us in the top 10. If we aren’t top 10 by Dec 1 we need to get rid. Fans want to win games. But let's not let time heal the facts... people were complaining about the style of football. Plus, he managed 50 odd games after taking over a sh** situation. His record with us is better than he's ever had since.

Not sure if it's Barton out? But I'm certainly getting fed up of being rolled over by sides that like to bully us. What's the point of having the better of the game, creating chances, then the ball gets pumped forward, 3 touches and it's in the back of the net? As it stands, I think mid table will be an achievement.

Final nail in the coffin for me.
Was a Joey supporter up until the last couple of months.
We've sunk a lot of money into this squad, a lot of them have Championship appearences to their names. Others just proven L1 players.
He's not getting the best out of them. Football is dire. We have all this neat tidy possession and never go near the goal.
Martin is a waste of space. Vale played out of position. Cox no improvement on Belly. Sinclair absent. Grant useless.
I'm fed up with his rants and ravings in the press too, doesn't look good for the club.
Argh so effing frustrated, after all the promise this season had as well.
And replace him with who?

Every week we say. Oh but look at all our possession! Oh but we had shots on target! That does not equal wins. It’s a losers mentality! The season is trudging on and we’re more likely to get relegated! Why are the players always injured? Why are we so bad when we had this big budget? Even on the commentary they said we should get encouragement from our possession. Is everyone a bit thick? We’ve been dominating possession all season, it doesnt do anything! Where’s the urgency??? If Barton is such a great manager why do we struggle all the time? Face facts much of our promotion last season was down to the Elliot Anderson effect. Wow we got promoted last season I must have missed that? I don’t get the massive panic we are very close to charging up that league things will come together very soon, have faith gasheads. We are a good side with no luck whatsoever on all fronts at present.

We are a good side with no luck whatsoever on all fronts at present. A good side will make their own luck. It’s not bad luck that our players are injured every season. It’s something behind the scenes which we aren’t learning from. Aaron Collins played out of position for ages now and guess what he’s worse. We don’t seem to be learning from that. And I like Marquis but for Joey to say he was the best striker in the league is laughable. He hasn’t been the best anything since what 2016???

Why on earth would you want Barton out? Give him time. We are struggling with the injury. Hehe UTG

We haven't dropped from the Championship. We are 11 games in, not 30.

Full disclosure here, I've been Barton out since the day he arrived. I simply don't like him and his past.
That said, so far so OK as a manager but the clock is ticking surely, regardless of todays result.
No point changing mid season unless you're in the sh!t (we're not) but unless we finish top 10 I'd try something new next summer.

Barton’s assessment today ..
1. Red card was a huge moment - Was needless - killed momentum 2. Lads tried hard .. 3. One of those days … 4. Two fantastic strikes by Burton. 5. We didn’t kick on at 1-0 - 6. Tuesday night we can put it right . 7. Credit to Burton. 8. Ward injured again .
To be fair to him he called it fair - blamed no one individually.
Whilst he is in the seat we need to get behind him.

Okay seriously. Maybe a slight knee jerk. But when is enough enough? Given his budget and the weak league this year we all expected Top 10 minimum right?

“To have a real go like Plymouth, you need a £4.5 million budget, and we need to decide if we are going to have a real go”……….you’ve been given what you asked for.
“We are going for promotion this season”……..this suggests and is evidence you for the budget you wanted.
So I come to the big myth, we have a brilliant squad…….I would argue it’s the most unbalanced one we have had in terms of budget since Micky Evans and Scott Jones played for us, we even had Ellington back then!
It’s a myth, just because Wilson won the league last season with Plymouth doesn’t mean he can do it with us, he’s a year older, 35 in February and now injured. We sign so many pension pot unemployed players like him, Friend moving back to Barnstaple injured, Jack Hunt unemployed, Martin, unemployed. The memory helps us forget Trevor Clarke and Rossiter, both signed with a Casualty hospital record, Friend is on this list.
Everything he asks for he gets, compare this to DC when he was having his meltdown. Biggest ever management team we have ever seen.
This isn’t our first season in League One, this should have been us out of the blocks this season just like Oxford who stayed up with only 2 games to go.
The use of budget has been horrific, Jennings and Barton don’t sign players for the future, we make lazy signings. Even Javani Brown was signed because we were the only ones willing to sign someone who hits women, I’m sorry the court decided this.
It’s time he went, let someone else have time now to access the squad and give him the January window. All talk of promotion should stop, this squad is light years off 6th place. He came in and we were 4 points above relegation, on the true table we are 4 points off relegation today! The 7-0 win was great, it was it will last with us all forever but that is the only bright light of his time with us and we should never have gone down, he gave up that season in March. We’ve heard we are coming for the red half, he calls us Gasheads, asks the players to throw their shirts to the away end at Oxford, it’s all spin, it’s all false stuff pulling the wool over fans eyes, I hope more can see it, he’s taken us as far as he can which in essence is no where when you factor in a top 6 budget.
It’s time for a new man at the wheel.

Patience thinning. Been appalling at home for 12 months and after significant investment I expected more. We can't be unlucky every week!

I certainly don't see the football as dire at all, at times last year we seemed to pass for the sake of it and the majority of our 'possession' was across our back 4. I think this year we're definitely more progressive and we look far more dangerous as a result. As for Barton out I'm not in that camp, we've been extremely unlucky with injuries so far, I don't think anyone can blame him for that. Get rid of the manager seems to be the go to solution for all clubs when teams have a bad patch but imo you don't back a manager to the extent we have & then sack him when in all honesty I'm not sure he's had a fully fit squad yet. That's not to say I don't think we should be doing better far from it but I don't think things are bad enough to warrant a change (yet !!)

I take it you didn't attend the last 2 home matches then where we were superb? It's all well and good calling for Barton out but not one person has come up with a decent name for a replacement? As it happens I think we have to take 4 points from the next 2 games minimum or hel be gone.

How are people so certain that the budget was £4.5 million? I think the Peterborough owner said that, however, I can't remember it being confirmed by anybody at the club (who would actually know the budget, not speculations). The budget was obviously good, but I'm not sure about the £4.5 million - would this be before any spending on JCH, if we'd got our timing better?!
Stick with him at the moment, it's only October.

I take it you didn't attend the last 2 home matches then where we were superb? Yes I did and I was at Oxford as well. But we haven’t put together a team to finish bottom half of the table, I was also at Peterborough away and Cambridge, it’s the same most weeks on the road. I don’t just support Bristol Rovers to see the odd home win, have you seen his home record in League One BTW?! The owners don’t just give him a top 6 budget for home wins, we’ve played 12 games, we are in consistent and bang average, he’s blown millions on fodder as well.
