I'm not a fan of sacking managers mid season unless I'm convinced were edging to something bad.
Underpreforming but a little more time for this group is needed.

Chewy or anyone, I respect MadGas post, can we have a PPG from January 1st 2023 to now, I think something bad is happening?!

To be fair its only this seasons record that matters. 4 wins 4 draws 5 losses 18 scored 18 conceded GD zero
Not great admittedly, but hardly grounds for sacking a manager not even a third of the way through the season.

To me it’s not all that matters. The long term stats show that things aren’t good enough and gives me very little hope that he’s the man to lead us to the championship.

Someone interacted with me on twitter yesterday and called our season so far "unlucky".
These stats prove that we arent "unlucky" but that we cant win games, regardless of personel sent on the pitch or tactics employed.
It's quite simple, we need to win games and fast if we dont want a relegation fight this season. Because that PPG average WILL send you down and its time everyone who thinks its great and just unlucky wakes up and realises that.
Dec 1 is the absolute latest cut off point for me, gives a new man the month to look at the squad and use the Jan window to improve should it be that JB cant sort this out. On the evidence so far, he cant.

There almost needs to be a plan in place for every eventuality, including the type of manager they'll want to appoint be that long or short term.

We lost and the usual crackpots are calling for the manager to be sacked. Same fuckers who'll be nowhere near the site when we win. UTFG 🏴☠️ I don't consider myself a crackpot or a f**ker. Never wanted someone with clear mental health issues spanning decades responsible for the football team I support. That's the last time I buy you a pint. Time to say goodbye to this toxic place, you and Kingswood Polak would make a great duo.

The structure of the club generally is a weird one. I don't think the CEO for instance will have any input to footballing matters.

Football is the same as any other business, in manufacturing you gage productivity, if it’s going down or not going up and you know you can do better, a good business looks at it. Now someone is going to tell me football is different to manufacturing, correct but then our football business now down 500 plus a game on attendees, can anyone tell me our average home att against last season now? And before I hear cost of living crisis, they had 12,000 for a female Bristol City game on the weekend!

It was a scattergun reaction and inappropriate in the extreme. Genuine apologies to anyone else rightly offended. UTG 🏴☠️👍

UTG 🏴☠️👍 We all do it and I’ve overstepped the mark a couple of times but it shows the man who can admit he was wrong. You have posted for over a decade or more, I smiled at your post and appreciated you never meant it! This said, your prediction last season was a little crackpot on reflection now and where we are now! All the best.

We need to improve, but there is still time and if we do then so will attendances. 12000 at trashton to watch an Arsenal women’s team full of internationals is hardly relevant either.

So the new season has started but it’s now worse than the last one, the new season also had last seasons deemed poor players cut from it and added with 12 plus new additions, we are getting worse and so are the attendances.
I only pointed out the sh** ladies side because I’ve heard the cost of living crisis used and that side of the City combined is getting over 30,000 people a week spend money on football matches.
We should be getting in my opinion high nines at the Mem, we have been publicly told we are coming for the Red half and also going for promotion this season, neither on the agenda right now

Surely there must come a time when we can start a season with mostly familiar players based on just picking some decent ones in the first place. As for attendances, doesn’t the lack of the south stand make it very difficult to get 9K in , genuine question.

While not relevent to the current thread it is interesting that it was a bigger attendance than any Bristol Rovers home match since the 9th March 2008. Evolution not revolution of course.

At least it’s only Sir Clive Woodward in disguise and his troops are coming down the motorway for Saturday. I’m sure they’ll have no extra reasons to be up for this game
