At least it’s only Sir Clive Woodward in disguise and his troops are coming down the motorway for Saturday. I’m sure they’ll have no extra reasons to be up for this game I’m roaring here, Brady isn’t the public school sort, I think you are more looking like Borthwick! We all know he gets whatever he wants, just taken delivery down the Quarters, another chuck of the budget spent rhino.direct/collections/rhino-rugby-scrum-machines/products/rhino-dictator

So the new season has started but it’s now worse than the last one, the new season also had last seasons deemed poor players cut from it and added with 12 plus new additions, we are getting worse and so are the attendances. I only pointed out the sh** ladies side because I’ve heard the cost of living crisis used and that side of the City combined is getting over 30,000 people a week spend money on football matches. We should be getting in my opinion high nines at the Mem, we have been publicly told we are coming for the Red half and also going for promotion this season, neither on the agenda right now How many people paid to watch their ladies game and what is the ticket price structure?

Thought it would be very low and that the comparison to our men’s team wasn’t a fair, like for like, comparison. Especially when “cost of living” was thrown in to the mix to exaggerate the case.

I think it's fair to say that us not being to attract that crowd due to a lack of investment is a fair point though. 12,000 people in for a non-Men's XI matchday, lots of kids in and lots of food bought I'm sure! I think the real unfair comparison is comparing our facilities to those in BS3. Worlds apart.

A couple more than will fit in our ground full stop!

I wonder what our attendances would be if we had an unlimited capacity and were charging £50 to £80 for a season ticket? Quite a bit more than 12,000 I’d imagine

The squad isn’t sh** but it’s never been as good as people believed. With no injuries, Belly back in goal and proper tactics/coaching it's not that far away.
But it requires more thought beyond 'Let's add another 34 year old ex championship player and Chelsea youngster in January' to unlock it. On the evidence we've seen, Barton's not capable of it.
Belly never coming Back, wasn't allowed to be in the 1st team building or train with 1st team a good month before 'THE Emergency loan' Also we have far too much dead wood, with players playing out there twilight years at the club ( and that always adds to the injury list) Also heard at training 4-5 players have to get changed in the building and the younger lads shipped off due to the current size of the squad and not having the room for some to get changed with 5-6 players standing on the sidelines watching the end of training training games as there is too many of them! I would hate to think what our wage bill is now with latest additions and hardly anyone being moved on, something has to give soon!

Quite right as well.

Absolutely Right, also spending a few quid in the club shop, an overpriced coke here and there with the odd snack! it all adds up and i think they probably did very well out if and the publicity.

Belshaw was on the bench 1 week before he left on loan and played a couple of days before that so had clearly been allowed back into the first time environment

Not sure he's doing much better at FGR.

Think it interesting that of the 3 teams who were promoted to the Championship last season Ipswich seem to have adapted by far the best. Is that because there football was of a more cultured JB type with a bit more adaptability than the more robust approach of Weds, and Plymouth, both of whom are trying to adapt to the tougher challenges?
