Just think Barton makes a rod for his own back by telling us all how great we are, saying we were better than Oxford and nearly every club we play, well the table doesn’t lie, It’s ok for people to bash the Barton haters , but if we lose the next 2 that Barton bash club will have a few more members

Didn’t the club/JB extend his contract until 2026. Could be very expensive to get rid of him - it’ll be down to him whether he decides to go or not imo. The new owners will probably pass that cost on to Wael! The other issue is which employee lent the club £750K, that must surely be JB?

What's the point of naming potential replacements, hopefully the owners will have their own list and not look to the forum for names. It's not like there's a list of just half a dozen or so managers the club could appoint. Probably Mangan would get the caretakers job anyway. Exactly the same can be said of what's the point in calling for a managers head if you can't replace him with better. We have 2 very winable home games coming up. If he fails to do that then quite rightly his job will be under threat. Until that time no need for a knee jerk reaction in sacking him when we've played poorly once in the last 5 games.

John Eustace or Chris wilder if Barton was to go by Christmas but I don't think he will. Today was another awful result against a mid to lower league one club and we have to improve quickly or this season could be a right off by January. Personally I think we will come good but will fall short of the play offs but if JCH does sign then who knows. Let's all try to stay positive for the next 10 games before we start calling for a new manager who will again change players in and out of the revolving door we have be so accustomed to over these past few years.

It's completely fair enough btw-not liking him due to off field issues etc. But we have those who may not be on the 'out brigade' yet, if it were a different man at the helm.

So if we don’t do well in these and you say “quite rightly his job is under threat” does this mean you personally have to have some names lined up to replace him? Because I think that’s unfair on you and it’s as if we can’t have an opinion now (I’ve seen this away in person for 5 games now) but if we only get one or zero points in the next two games it’s ok to call for him to go?

Achievable names..... I'd like Darren Ferguson. I think he could be prised away from Peterborough. Plays good football and knows how to get out of this league. Other notable mentions would be Paul cook who's doing a fantastic job at chesterfield John Eustace who was extremely unlucky to lose his job at Birmingham. My worry would be we'd get in Karl Robinson Other than that I don't really see many upgrades on Barton out there that are attainable at present so happy for him to remain in charge and prove he has what it takes. I love the football we play under him and think he needs to be given more time.

Warnock for me as well, I’d like someone like Byron next to him learning alongside Ronnie Jepson.

How can anybody love watching us lose virtually every away game, there's surely a happy medium between GC & JB football, where we are attractive to watch but difficult to beat?

Big Dunc would be as disastrous as he was at FGR. And Darren Ferguson ….no thanks. Whatever anyone thinks about JB in the end it will be the results that determine what happens to him. Today was a bad result but it sounds as if we played ok up until they equalised, win our two winnable home games coming up and the mood will change. Lose them and pressure will build. What would help is to avoid getting red cards they make everything else that much harder. UTG!

Don't personally believe Barton is cut out for management at this level, let's face it if Steve Harper and Shola Ameobi never bailed him out chances are we'd still be in the 4th tier, however he's here long term with Wael in charge. If we're languishing on 30 points after 24 games the new owners might feel a change is needed, though.

Warnock would be interesting , after his 23rd retirement Sir Alex? Sven? The Latvian? We're looking for someone to get us up into the Championship. Whos to say Warnock cant do it , his track record for promotion is second to none.*
Will he give up the tractor down in Looe , not sure. Nice if JB could do it , but imo Warnock would be a given.
* And that at a higher level!

Let’s see how the next 4 games go. Home to Stevenage and Northampton before going away to Reading and Carlisle. 4 winnable games
