“To have a real go like Plymouth, you need a £4.5 million budget, and we need to decide if we are going to have a real go”……….you’ve been given what you asked for. “We are going for promotion this season”……..this suggests and is evidence you for the budget you wanted. So I come to the big myth, we have a brilliant squad…….I would argue it’s the most unbalanced one we have had in terms of budget since Micky Evans and Scott Jones played for us, we even had Ellington back then! It’s a myth, just because Wilson won the league last season with Plymouth doesn’t mean he can do it with us, he’s a year older, 35 in February and now injured. We sign so many pension pot unemployed players like him, Friend moving back to Barnstaple injured, Jack Hunt unemployed, Martin, unemployed. The memory helps us forget Trevor Clarke and Rossiter, both signed with a Casualty hospital record, Friend is on this list. Everything he asks for he gets, compare this to DC when he was having his meltdown. Biggest ever management team we have ever seen. This isn’t our first season in League One, this should have been us out of the blocks this season just like Oxford who stayed up with only 2 games to go. The use of budget has been horrific, Jennings and Barton don’t sign players for the future, we make lazy signings. Even Javani Brown was signed because we were the only ones willing to sign someone who hits women, I’m sorry the court decided this. It’s time he went, let someone else have time now to access the squad and give him the January window. All talk of promotion should stop, this squad is light years off 6th place. He came in and we were 4 points above relegation, on the true table we are 4 points off relegation today! The 7-0 win was great, it was it will last with us all forever but that is the only bright light of his time with us and we should never have gone down, he gave up that season in March. We’ve heard we are coming for the red half, he calls us Gasheads, asks the players to throw their shirts to the away end at Oxford, it’s all spin, it’s all false stuff pulling the wool over fans eyes, I hope more can see it, he’s taken us as far as he can which in essence is no where when you factor in a top 6 budget. It’s time for a new man at the wheel. m Please don’t come on here and speak sense

Final nail in the coffin for me.
Was a Joey supporter up until the last couple of months.
We've sunk a lot of money into this squad, a lot of them have Championship appearences to their names. Others just proven L1 players.
He's not getting the best out of them. Football is dire. We have all this neat tidy possession and never go near the goal.
Martin is a waste of space. Vale played out of position. Cox no improvement on Belly. Sinclair absent. Grant useless.
I'm fed up with his rants and ravings in the press too, doesn't look good for the club.
Argh so effing frustrated, after all the promise this season had as well.

I'm not a Barton hater, but I didn't want him as manager and I won't be upset to see him go. I obviously want him to do well as that means success for rovers, but I'm far from convinced he's got the skill set to achieve it. He makes me cringe listening to his interviews and publicly naming players is so unprofessional and should stay in the dressing room. I'd give him till Christmas unless we fail against whitby, then I'd sack at 5pm. Under achieving and blaming everyone else.

Warnock for me as well, I’d like someone like Byron next to him learning alongside Ronnie Jepson. bring in a 72 year old in the hope of quick success and then have to re appoint a new manager? Yeah that's not a great approach for me. So he gets us promoted to the championship and then leaves and we go straight back down. We need stability at our football club and not a man of his age who isn't in it for the long haul. We need to give Barton this season and the look at where we are imo

I posted this above Mario, how long is 17th not good enough? Being balanced, he deserves the next two hole games but if we only have one or zero points this time next Saturday, I would expect him to be sacked because we are likely to be bottom 6.

This place is a shambles.
Garner lost almost every game whilst he was here completely nose diving from the tops spots and there wasn't this much of a want to get rid.

The football is not dire at all. We are just currently weak at the back and impotent up front. A recipe for relegation. However we have a big injury list and really need a competitive striker for Marquis as Martin certainly isnt that (for all his effort). Passing it about with 65% possession but without any end product is dire football. Too many fans have fallen under the spell that also many managers in this country have and it’s called the Gaurdiola spell and these managers think they can copy his style and make it work with players that are no where near the ability that he has at his disposal. I find it embarrassing and extremely frustrating yet so many fans up and down the country are happy to see their sides try and fail miserably playing this style because they see it as great football even though they’re watching their clubs underachieve doing something that the players aren’t capable of. On the odd occasion weve scrapped that style this season we’ve played well , won and only had around 50% possession. The Wigan game being a good example of that where it was 51-49 but we battered them. Barton needs to wake up or water off.
