I’ll be shocked if it’s anyone we’ve heard of. Don’t know why but just think we will employ a young up and coming coach or a foreigner that hasn’t managed before. What like when we employed Barton? Not exactly a proven manager... But a manager who had excellent contacts at a good few premier league clubs ,do you think any of the names touted have that and can persuade Premier league Mgrs to part with their players to " little old Bristol Rovers".? |

We recently almost paid a million for a player, I think our next managerial appointment may well redefine what we as fans see as in and out of our reach… whether that be spectacular or bang average is a waiting game I’m not looking forward to personally haha The difference in wages from champ to us for a manager is significant , they’ll have opportunities at that level as well I’d imagine. The difference in wages from champ to us for a manager is significant , they’ll have opportunities at that level as well I’d imagine. I’m also afraid that as it stands we really aren’t a huge draw. I don’t have a clue what kind of draw we are anymore tbh, but time will reveal all I’d suggest that we aren’t a big enough draw for a bloke who finished 7th in the champ last year, got sacked whilst 6th in the champ or whose last job was in the prem. Sorry if that sounds condescending but we are miles off of that level of manager |

What’s he achieved to say he’s got it to push us into the championship? Richardson isn’t a bad shout, there is better out there IMO. Fully behind throwing everything at getting Eustace if there’s a sniff of a chance. Robinson is worst than Barton, as a man and as a manager! We used to beat them away everytime we played his Oxford side! we cant have that, it would be out of the frying pan and into the fire! |

And whatever we all think about JB there’s no doubt the quality of loanees was far higher than anything we had seen in the 4/5 years before that. Managers seemed happy to trust the club with some of their best youngsters knowing that JB would ‘look after’ them. The flip side was of course that we may have become too dependent on these loans instead of giving our own youngsters a chance or even avoided getting permanent players who would belong to us. UTG! |

Position in the table similar I agree but I’m not sure that the squad is as bad as it was in ‘21. I think we will finish than we are at the moment because we are a better team and squad and we can score goals but in the end time will tell if I’m right. UTG! |

I have a funny feeling someone is already lined up.
Don't get me wrong - I'm both pleased and fully agree with the sacking - but I am a tad surprised the owners shared my sentiments. I thought a loss on the weekend may be the nail in his coffin, but a point after being a goal down against a side higher than us in the league did surprise me.
Hence I reckon their mind was already pretty much made up.
I have a funny feeling we might have a new manager in place in time for the weekend - maybe even tomorrow...
