No thanks. Achieved next to nothing as a manager.

I have a funny feeling someone is already lined up. Don't get me wrong - I'm both pleased and fully agree with the sacking - but I am a tad surprised the owners shared my sentiments. I thought a loss on the weekend may be the nail in his coffin, but a point after being a goal down against a side higher than us in the league did surprise me. Hence I reckon their mind was already pretty much made up. I have a funny feeling we might have a new manager in place in time for the weekend - maybe even tomorrow... No chance

Wilder would be my choice , always rated him , Eustace is another good shout.
Still think Warnock would be ideal , brilliant track record of getting teams up , and at a higher level too.
I heard his age may be a problem but he's younger than Hodgeson ( just ) who isn't doing too bad in the Prem.
Try and bring in Gabriel Jesus and Ruben Dias in January also. Seriously, I think expectations need to be lowered somewhat. Sure , the first 2 are a longshot , but why the hell should we not approach them. If these owners can sell the club to them ( not literally of course ) , who knows?
My feeling is Eustace will get picked up by the next Championship sacking club . Wilder probably would be looking top 2 divisions , but an outside chance.
As for Warnock , an unknown , says one thing then changes his mind as per retirement , lives in Cornwall , far but nearer than most clubs he's managed.
Remember these are my choices from available , my hunch is it'll be neither and may be from abroad , but thats why we're not chairmen ....

Karl Robinson last season we all know struggled massively but then if you look at the previous 3 seasons they finished 3rd, 6th and 8th in league 1 and I believe in 2 of those seasons they were the top scorers in the whole of the EFL.
Concern would be was last season just a blip or is he on the decline or was it other factors??
Not my first choice but if he did get the job I would be more happier than some of the other names being put about.
They deffo have a person in mind and my guess is that whoever that person is has said that he will take the job.
We will soon find out if the new owner means business or not.

No chance I agree with RD here, I will be shocked if they come out and say that they are going to see who applies and then will look at all applicants. My belief is that they have decided who they want and then its lead to the end of JB, if they have sacked him but have no idea who they want then god help us 🫣🫣

Our fans have lost it, deluded to to think there are some names who recently managed in the Prem and Championship dropping down to us.

I know quite a few Luton fans, despite his success a lot of them didn't like him, huge ego apparently. Lots of successful people do have a huge ego. We could write out a number of successful candidates if we're going to take that approach to appointing a manager. Maybe we should bring Mark McGhee again he seemed a nice bloke... There's probably a few Luton fans who feel a bit bitter that he left them for Stoke. I'm sure the majority appreciate how hard and well he got them working as a group though. He more or less took them up from L2 to the prem. I know he only has the L2 promotion on his Cv but he left them in a very strong position both times he left them. And you cna come at me and say he failed at Southampton, Stoke etc but which of those 3 clubs do you think was the best comparison to managing Rovers? Luton obviously. Well we can agree to differ I guess, I grew up in Bedfordshire so most of my friends are Luton fans they think he did a decent job, not as good as Edwards, but was just an unpleasant piece of work with zero humility who thought the world revolved around him even after failing miserably elsewhere

Think we’ll get in a decent manager who’ll surprise a few people.

If we were paying compo then I’d be seriously considering Dave Challinor at Stockport and Andy Whing at Solihull Moors.

All well out of our reach. We don't know that, we still don't know much about the owners. They tried to sign JCH for a bid transfer fee, they might decide to spend a bit of money on a manager. This appointment can will finally tell us what direction we could be heading in.

What like when we employed Barton? Not exactly a proven manager... But a manager who had excellent contacts at a good few premier league clubs ,do you think any of the names touted have that and can persuade Premier league Mgrs to part with their players to " little old Bristol Rovers".? A lot of smaller clubs than us have Premier league players. They didn't loan us players just because we have be Barton. With some of his comments, a lot of clubs would have crossed us off their list😂.

Anyone with a working brain knows it. Jones last job was the premier league and is likely to still be getting severance pay from Southampton that is more than anyone at our club earns. Eustace won’t have stock this high again and isn’t going to waste it on joining Bristol Rovers. Rowett I’ll give you as a slim outside chance but I’d be very very surprised if after finishing 7th in the champ last year he finds his way here. I suspect another job in Bristol might come up soon that he’d be more interested in.

Dean Holden managed and was assistant for the sh** and knows the area?
Wouldn't be suprised if he was one of the interviewed parties.
