I see Taylor had Wayne Carlisle as his assistant at Exeter and Rotherham. I wonder if we'll see Waynerrr return to the gas? Always thought he had a rare bit of quality about him in that poor Graydon side Wayne Carlisle had great ability but so frustrating as he gave little effort. Only seemed to play when he could be bothered. No surprises when he was released at the end of his 2 year contract. |

I think, if we've moved on from the JCH train (who knows if we have), January has 'welcome to Bristol Rovers, Sam Nombe!' written all over it. Six month loan deal, re-evaluate in the summer would be ideal. Separately, I think Archie Collins is a lovely midfielder, would be great to get our hands on him but unlikely. Same for Randell Williams, cracking winger but at top-of-the-league Bolton. Why would Rotherham cut ties with Nombe so quickly? I know he's not had an immediate goal scoring return there, but getting rid of a player after 6 when you broke your transfer record for him would raise massive red flags. Not saying they would, just feel like you can piece together that it COULD make sense for all parties. They might be tempted by a money offer too, who knows. Just wouldn't be surprised whatsoever if he walked in the door at the Quarters. |
