Some names he may look to bring down with him from Yorkshire / previously worked with at the Millers in Jan: Cohen Bramall - Left Back Tolaji Bola - Left Back Hakeem Odoffin - Defensive Midfielder Jamie Lindsay - Centre Midfielder Sam Nombe - Striker Georgie Kelly - Striker Jamie McCart - Centre Back (Barnsley) Joshua Kayode - Striker (Carlisle Utd) Why do we want to sign players that have failed to do it in the Championship if that is where we want to end up. Clearly not good enough.

If we gave them the same money back they could be tempted and if things aren't right off the pitch Nombe might be inclined to move back south and play again for the manager that got a tune out of him previously.

Oh really, guessed it would've been more. Only 1 goal for them this season so hopefully they'll be hoping to offload!

Nombe was signed for £1.2m on a 4 year deal….not a chance A "fee believed to be around £1million" was quoted. The total package including wages for JCH deal was £2.2m. It isn't totally unrealistic if Rotherham wanted their money back for their new manager to spend in January.

No chance of Nombe, if you want to include wages & add ons that would be pushing £3m then, and why would he drop down? JCH is same level as us now and has the affiliation. Just go back in for him.

I don’t know who you asked. I can think of lots of games where we played great football and I think we still do unfortunately it counts for nothing if you can’t score or defend. We played great football but we can't score or defend? Are you sure? :/ That is not what i said if you read it, but if it amuses you to take the wee wee knock yourself out pal

I see a few people consider that Taylor failed at Rotherham. Not sure that’s the case. Paul Warne had three chances to keep Rotherham in the division in a relatively prolonged period at the helm and couldn’t manage it once. Taylor did keep them up last season, which can be considered a bit of a minor miracle given their recent history of being a yo-yo team. Yes, Warne had helped give them a good start to the season but by the time Taylor was appointed they had dropped to 14th and he got the job done. He was sacked relatively early into this season with the team four points from the safety line. His Exeter career was broadly very successful, albeit almost all in league 2. Admittedly he doesn’t have much experience in league 1 but he doesn’t really have too many negatives against him. God knows. We’ve had managers before that looked good on paper and failed and ones who looked like they could be a poor choice that succeeded. That’s typically the Rovers way isn’t it. It’s usually the people we’ve hardly heard of that become our best players or managers and the big names rarely seem to do well. At least it feels like that to me.
