What's Kenny Jacket doing these days?.. Came here to say exactly that! Surprised he isn't talked about more or on the lists anywhere. Has lots of experience at the right end of L1 and in the Championship. I would take him over any other (realistic) name that I've seen mentioned. However, currently DoF at Gillingham.

Ryan Mason is someone I think could be the next Eddie Howe.

All this talk of interviews makes me think that j b sacking has been on the cards for a while after all he was only sacked yesterday I doubt very much there have been any interviews today and Id be surprised if there was to be any in the early part of next week. Historically under Wael when we have sacked a manager its been about 2 weeks until another is appointed, dont expect that to be any quicker this time around.

I’ll be gobsmacked if the club have interviewed anyone at all today, in fact I’ll be amazed if anyone is in post by the end of next week. Me to. If interviews are taking place today that suggests they were arranged well in advance of Joey being sacked. As regards those mentioned , no thanks. If these names are all that they have come up with god help us. Like I said elsewhere, these new owners - you know, the open, transparent and engaging ones - probably have no f*cking clue about how to go about picking a new manager and even less clue about the fan base, culture or history of the club. So we probably will end up with either Holden or Cotterill . . .

Wont happen. As long as Wael has some sort of sway he wouldnt appoint him. Not becuase he doesnt like the guy i dont expect, I'm sure he likes Ollie as much as the next man, its just not an appointment i would see him being a part of. His preference will always be a younger manager. Rubbish, ollie is Bristol Rovers.if he gets the gig it will be because of hi passion for BRFC I’m not sure that kind of thing will even enter the equation

For me should be: 1) Darrell Clarke Then... Dave Challinor Darren Ferguson Paul Cook John Eustace Hmmm, DC? Has a returning Manager ever been a good idea? Sadly, hardly ever, even though it's a nice thought. Probably best we and DC just keep the good memories.

I was told a few weeks back by someone that they wanted him gone and were just waiting for the right moment. I suspect he knew that as well

hope forest Green stay up for our Derby next season if any of those failures get the gig If this is a true statement then I'd rathervit was Ian Holloway.......but bring in Bater And Penrice aswell I was speaking to an Oxford season ticket holder who told me it went wrong when he allegedly had an affair with the captain of the Oxford ladies team. His mind was on other things and he lost the plot. Got no idea if true.

Maybe it’ll be a proper curveball, Robbie Fowler was touted before. Steven Gerrard? Big name, point to prove, doesn’t need the money. (Probably an awful manager mind) speaks fluent Scouse!

Karl Robinson had Oxford challenging for promotion for 3 or 4 seasons iirc, before last seasons nosedive by them so wouldn’t mind him being given a fair crack at it.As for the ex $hithead merry go round managers, feck right off to the lot of em,all proven failures.

Wilder/Dean Smith - success was at the club supported. Lampard/Gerrard/Parker/Fowler - living off being a big name player and have biz interests taking a lot of their time. Sol Campbell - as above but a Tory. Chris Hughton/Steve Bruce boring football. Neil Lennon/ Allardyce - sober? Karl Robinson/Dean Holden - wishy-washy a bit Russell Osman. Steve Evans - constantly gets the best from limited players. Neil Warnock - will still want to continue to be a manager after they bolt the lid down. Harris/Bowyer/Hignett/Morrison - can't imagine them being committed to the local area.

Forgive my ignorance, but of all the obscure names i have seen, no-one has mentioned Nigel Clough. Without checking, my memory is that he has had a decent record at several clubs - or am I out of touch? Or do we just feel he would be unlikely to move?

Does this need a new thread? I'm thinking not.
